In fact, I've been hunting deer all morning, probably around 9 or so.. And have yet to get any leather. Surely if the percentage is actually 40% a time, I should have got some by now!?

Just had the same issue, and I really don't think that the animals are actually giving 20% chance, as I'm still getting hardly any fur and leather! The calculation is easy as deer and fox give 20 as standard, and after upgrade should give 40, however it says 30 under animal info, and like I say...
