Ha, ha, ha ,ha, lol

You seriously think less than a fraction of 1% of this game is worth £30? The whole caboodle upwards of £3000?

When it's finally out of beta test and all the bugs, crashes, hackers, stupid medal system, non-existent economy, ineffective defence, ropey alliance functions and all the other year old defects are fixed, this might just be a £40 game and I'd want a nice printed manual.

Seriously, 29p is nearer the mark.

This just reminds me of how expensive this game is and has always been. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but there are so many aspects of this game...
1.) You have to upgrade from one era to another...
2.) upgrading doesn't automatically give you that era's stuff...more upgrades.
3.) you have to upgrade barracks...then upgrade library, church, war academy, blacksmith, etc...THEN upgrade units individually...
4.) Generals are also upgraded individually, as well as any defense and defensive units...
5.) Walls should honestly be upgraded the same way roads are..ALL AT ONCE.😡
6.) Since our citizens keep misplacing and losing those darned blueprints...you have to start all over again each time you add a farm, a defense structure or other building.

By all intents and purposes, this game should be raking in the 💵💵💵💵💵

The Industrial/Global Age marketing is pretty crazy. Personally I think the only thing worth investing in is that +2 villager bonus since you can't really get that until Atomic Age and that's not out yet. However at the same time the way they try to sell everything come IA/GA at super high prices means that no one but someone with deep pockets is going to actually pay up for everything. Which in a way keeps the pay to win advantage of such a type of game to a minimum. Less you'd rather completely invalidate the people who actually played the game up to Global Age (takes more than a year of effort) and haven't spent a dime.

agree, spent on the starter pack and drop about 5-10 bucks a month, as I've posted before I consider this a good deal in comparison to my teenage video game spending, a quarter a pop...

I never did pay attention to all those troop unlocking packages. Not worth it I say. I would rather just wait. Maybe crown a bit near the end.

The only thing I bought were the starter packs 1 & 2. And I still have @80% left over from both.

Your complaint is not with this game but the base building genre. Every base building game I've played requires upgrading in levels (eras), every building requires upgrading and units too etc., heroes (generals) are a pain to upgrade, and the most frustrating part is wall upgrading...which is where these games bog players down, always done one piece at a time. And yes, most games a new building has to be built from the lowest level.

Same scam they tried back in July when they released Industrial. Looks like you have to pay more even,

1 British Pound = 1.46 American Dollars

£29.99 = $43.74

I too only spent real money on their starter packs for the free house, since the price of the mound of crowns is the same with or without the home.

You'd have a similar IQ to a member of the Brassica Rapa family to purchase this. With the massive food imbalance, ( I currently have around 10m at my disposal) , Instant Crowning the troop upgrade is 1450 crowns which can easily be purchased for a lot less than $43.

But overall, speeding up a single upgrade for money or crowns is basically pointless - IA/GA upgrades take so long it hardly makes a dent in anything. Even Starter Pack 2 with house isn't the same as Starter Pack 1, back in Classical going from 8 workers to 10 made a difference, going from 14 to 16 isn't worth anything, you'll have 4 fruit pickers instead of two, unless you like upgrading useless tractors and delivery trucks.

Even allowing for UK VAT @20% it's still a rip off on the exchange.

£29.99 = £25.00 + VAT
£25.00 @$1.46 = $36.48

I have 14 workers doing their job, 2 for fruit picking - so I can't confirm your assumption it's useless.
This is for sure not maintainable for very long, only a few days after getting Global, but hey, it's something

The 2 extra guys to me are not useless at all. I'm a slave driver. All 16 of my workers are seldom even free to pick fruits...😢

I agree with the extra house vs Age scenario. 14 to 16 may be an extra 2 workers but so many other upgrades ALL require an extra 2 people - Global roads, farms, caravans ALL need an extra 2 people. We're actually further behind where we were.
