Ever since Enlightenment age, I maxed out everything but generals, walls and university. So when I came into Global, I was already 180.
One reason I would really want to move to Atomic earlier, is for 2 more workers. Towers now cost 4 instead of 3 to upgrade and farms and caravans doubled from 2 to 4.
I have some things I should do before I think of moving, like unlock armored cars by doing factory once more, but I think I could handle it.
I would likely stay in atomic for a long time, until I was maxed out again.
One thing I am serious about is my ranking. I want to keep at least a 2000 rating. Do you think my decision to get atomic earlier, not just yet, would be detrimental to my league rating?
Here's what I did in global so far:
1.upgrade all new buildings and traps to finished industrial levels
2. Get oil refinery done and unlock missile silo
3. upgrade factory (once), did not get heavy tank mk3 yet
4. Upgrade airport, got new fighter and bomber mk1
5. Got mills and 2/3 markets done for price caps
6. Got nearly all barracks troops done, but not factory troops and further air levels
I need to do a single garrison and a tank depot so my other defenders get the upgrade. I need to do the factory once more for armored cars. Beyond that I think I could jump to Atomic Age for the help of 2 more workers. I would gain the second airport for 3 more air spaces and 15 army spaces from barracks. Any thoughts?
