2nd Factory Global Age

I don't know if this is the right place to post this and i'm pretty sure i've already read somewhere about it.
So I'm new to the global age, just got there yesterday. I'm doing the imprtant stuffs:armory,oil refinery,mill,and my first SAM ( 2 workers for a trap is a bit frustrating btw)
Instead of planes, this time, i'm going to upgrade first the factory as i can't wait to see the new bazookas and to upgrade the heavy tank to lvl 3.
So my question is: what if i place the second factory before i upgrade the heavy tank to lvl 3? Will i still be able to upgrade it or will i have to wait until the other factory is at level 4 too?

From what I hear on the great vine you'll have to wait until your second factory is lvl 4 as well, but I'm not Global so don't quote me on that.

Unless someone else in global age tells me different i'm not going the place the second factory then

Issue: Armory will sometimes not take into account your second higher level factory

So apart from that: is it still recommended to build the second factory? I barely use factory units, since they are majorly overpriced (imho). One of the few reasons to build another one is that more defence will pop out, once it is destroyed by any attackers. Any views on this?

I maxed both factories, I use it for defense and also I use 4 HT mk3 during WW so it's faster to train units, 4 HT with one factory is quite long :x

Hey, I am currently Atomic and I built my second factory. It is currently level 1 but my other one is level 4. Pretty sure you don't have to have both at the same level in order to upgrade your tanks.

You do not need to upgrade both factories to upgrade your units in the armory - but you do need to upgrade the factory if you want to train higher level troops in it.
I.e; if you have a factory at lv 6 and one at lv1 you do get to upgrade your APCs but you can train APCs in only one of them - the lv6 one.
