Allow war forfeits

Alliances should be able to forfeit a war and have it end straight away. Just give the winning team maximum rubies, some food/gold/oil and random trade goods. Forfeiting team gets what they've won already but nothing else. This will put more alliances back in the queue faster and improve overall matchmaking.

Also if queueing for war had a minimum wait time (e.g. 1-2 hours), rather than allowing for instant matches this will allow for bigger pools of people queuing and better matchmaking. Offset this wait time by having slightly shorter war planning day.

If you do that, then members of the winning alliance who have not yet had a chance to attack (because of sleep, work, etc.) will not get any war loot or the enjoyment of doing attacks, despite having waited through the preparation day and part of the war day. No, thank you. I know the game's matchmaking isn't perfect, but you don't get to cut other players' experience short just because you're not winning a match.

What I could see is an option to OFFER a forfeit, and the winning alliance then has the option to accept or reject the offer. If they accept, the war ends with the results you stated. If they reject, you have to finish what you started, and let the winning team do the same.

yes that's a good idea to have a forfeit option with accept or reject option. this makes both the teams happy when this is a big mismatch in war making. this also helps in making a new war search faster.
i have some thoughts for little enhancement. keep this option on war planning day only so there will not be any questions on loot etc. glory can be given or not can be discussed further. we should be able to know if the war is actually playable during planning day only and it should be decided like first 1- 4 hours war match. when we have to wait 2 days to win or loose a 1 glory match that will kill the interest in this game.

That's one way of viewing forfeits. It just tends to be a heck of a lot more optimistic than I'd be willing to be. Instead, I imagine an unending hell of no wars at all while everyone nexts past anything that isn't an absolute cakewalk. Your assumption appears to be that everyone in the game desires a perfect match where their attacking strength is perfectly matched by the opposing team's defensive stength and both teams end in a tie of failures. In my experience more people are looking for a match where their attacking strength completely dominates the opposing team's defensive strength.

I agree with Sharky on this one. Giving people an option to forfeit will result in hardly any wars actually taking place. Plus, we've had wars where, given the choice, I would probably have forfeited, but we actually went on to win

There were a few wars we really though we lost because of the matchup and extreme lvl differences overall but we ended up winning because they didn’t manage attacks well and while they just smashed our top bases, they neglected the gunpowder ones and that got us win. Other times they add in those crazy high lvl bases to fill slots but those players hadn’t logged in in a while so they did not attack so you can get lucky.

While the forfeit (Or let’s say warfeit) would be inticing for the losing side, I don’t like the idea because you can still get rss/rubies/ally xp/ntg/ and just attack experience for lower lvl players. It’s already a strained matching system and the added dimension of forfeiting won’t help it.
