• Goodbye 8th Year Event Goals Fix
A fix is now live. An additional goal, Earn 5 Stars, has been added. Completing this will grant the additional 500 RP to complete the reward track.

Any advice on how to attain dynasty league (3200 medals)?

I'd like to achieve the 3200 medals task to get those 2000 crowns reward. However, it's very tedious so far. So I wonder if there's a faster and more efficient way to get there. What strategy and troop combination do you guys use for hunting those medals?

One goal only, gain medals. Forget resources and everything else. Don’t go for big number base if you have any doubt don’t be greedy. Everyone in that league have the same goal of not wanting to lose ranking.

It only took me once each with kingdom and empire but with dynasty it it took me 4 times til I got it and I’m not going back there anytime soon.

Did it the hard way. No shortcuts there. Here is what I learnt. If you want it to be easier, do it all.

Prereqs:
1. Have a decent defense and town protecting layout (including oil)
2. Do not participate in WWs as NTGs is near impossible to gather and you bleed diamonds.
3. You do not need to have any need of food/gold/oil. Best is to start those 14+ days UG and forget it.
4. Have a stock of training, tactics, defenders, tower etc blessings. Trade goods also most welcome.
5. Have a MAX silo (lvl3 minimim with tower blessing) as most hits include demoing/plane pass over silo and deploy.
6. Have less than 100k oil just enough to cover your planes loss retrain costs.
7. Always have blessings and trap blessings active. They make a huge difference on defenses.

Base scouting:
1. Over 2800 medals, you do not get town sniping bases anymore.
2. Try to attack bases with no tower blessings or the least blessing possible. If you don't have 5 planes, you are going to suffer.
3. Do not hit bases with max depots. Just skip.
4. Look for bases with 16+ medals to be gained so if you get only 2 stars its still about 8 medals gained.

Attack:
1. Plane pass + demo (if needed on silo). Deploy army and aim for QV though its quite hard.
2. Use full tactics.
3. Train one TD at a time to use in MP (or any other mercs). 1 merc only. Not full mercs to use in MP.

Last thing. If your defs are good, its easy to stay there. Climbing up is the hard part

What mountainking writes is correct.

I have found a guy that employed a different tactic though. He build a massive fortress around his TC and had all resources (market, mill, farms and oil wells) in one corner bunched up.
I am sure he got so many attacks from looters that every day he was climbing by 100-150 medals easily. He was CWA 260+ and on his way to Empire II. I bet he made it to 3200!

The downside is that for 2-3 weeks you wont keep much loot but on the other hand you will be compensated with 2000 crowns.

Mountainking's instructions are very good. And perhaps I'll try wrathchild_78's idea as well. Thanks a lot, guys!

kloputzer Over 3k medals people will take the easy loot and still hit you for the medals (knowing they got the res)

Thank you for that hint. I got some easy medals so far by placing resources outside in one spot. However, I'm at almost 3000 medals now. So I will most likely protect my resources again, if they hit for medals still.

Here is another way that worked for me. it is a slow grind, but steady and not too difficult. I am french, cold war age.

1) Activate a training Blessing and use armor blessings
2) Attack with 12 tanks and a 1 wallbreaker or 1 assault vehicle.
2) Target City Centers Get the two stars and do not worry about anything else.
3) Rinse and repeat.

With Training Blessing going I was training as I attacked. i would adjust how many tanks I deployed based on setup. I attacked bases with at least 16 stars to be gained until I got over 3100 medals, then I attacked anything I could. I would avoid layouts that required me to go through 3 or more sets of lvl 15 walls. .I used planes to take out forbidden cities if there were 25 or more medals to be gained, otherwise I avoided tough bases with a forbidden city. it is a slow, grinding process. But you quickly learn what bases your tanks can attack and reach city centers. In one hour, I could attack 10 or more times and gain 50-70 medals.

Watch 5 videos while you wait and gain 50 crowns or so. use them to fast train the army with the training blessing on and you can increase how many attacks you can make in an hour. It only costs 6 crowns to fast train this army. So you could fast train 9 times or so, thus upping how many medals you gain

Not too hard, but you must be very methodical and keep at it (really any path to dynasty is going to be a slow grind). .

I crossed the 3000 medals today. Placing resources outside in one spot works well up to 2800 medals, as well as sniping town centers with a combination of two tanks, 3 wallbreakers and lots of motorcycles – they're fast and reach the town center quickly while distracting with decoys. After that, I switched to heavy tanks army. But the loss of oil is just too much for a mere 5 medals in average. Mountainking's strategy works best so far as for the medal range above 3000. It's a very slow process, but steadily going up. Will try Mythkol's combination as well, as it seems reasonable considering the silo and the fact that it takes only food in most cases. If I continue at current pace, I might get 3200 medals within the next few days.

Edit:
Mythkol's strategy didn't work well for me at 3000+ medals. Town centers are protected too well within this range. Getting medals now is very slow!

Edit:
Crossed the 3100 range today, currently using 15 bazookas with heavy tanks and 2 APCs. Have 2 shooters in spare for luring defending troops away. I concentrate on Town Centers which are close to the walls. First throwing a decoy to take out traps and activating defenders from TC, then shooter in one corner to distract them, so that I can place a heavy tank and/or bazookas to quickly breach the wall and snatch the TC. Only going for bases with at least 15 medals to get. Quick victory gives about 5 - 7 medals. No full attack, except for very easy targets (which are rare). Placed a bazooka tower I still had from an event and put my resources outside, including the oil refinery. Hopefully some looters will pass and take oil in exchange for medals when they see it's so easy to get but too hard for full attack because of the bazooka tower. Let's see how it works out.

Edit:
Placing the oil refinery outside didn't work. Above 3000 they're gonna make a full attack anyway. Had one successful defense last night, but then got 4-starred by a guy using a strategy with lots of infantry and the skillful use of demolition combined with his bomber and planes. However, I crossed 3150 medals now, hoping to get the job done this weekend :)

congratulations mate!! Well done.

Yesterday, I put all my resources outside and fortified my TC as best as I could. I left gaps in my walls and had them all trapped. 24 hours have passed and none is taking what I give for free....
If that is not weird, then what is?

I did this as a Global Age player by using only German footies and sniping TCs (whether exposed or not).

I accomplished this just by attacking with six heavy tanks (MK6). I used the occasional healing tactic and all of my planes but never needed any mercs or troop cards. By the end, any base with less than max walls I considered an "easy" target. It was a slow grind, but not having to worry about silos made it a lot easier.
