Are cheaters actually getting banned?

I know I stand with the community on this and for too long we’ve accepted the excuse that privacy policies forbid BHG from sharing details. Well… I’m here to call BS and provide proof that A) I don’t think they are banning players, the numbers are fraudulent and B) TOS specifically states that usernames and actions can be shared with other users.

I think the community would like more of an explanation of how this banning process is happening? Is it just via self reporting to CS with pictures or is there other methods?

Are the bans on the weekly announcements for temporary ban for like a week or more? Are they permanent bans?

I believe the player base would like to see a system like this -

List of permanent bans -

Week 6/16 to 6/22.

John Doe - Alliance Name.
John Doe - Alliance Name.
Jane Doe - Alliance Name.

I don’t think this will break any TOS as we aren’t asking for user ID information. Just the username and alliance name.

Maybe Harlem can shine a light on this process more?

I would also like more information. In particular, a breakdown of how many bans were caused by reports and how many by automatic tests. How many are temporary (duration?) and how many are permanent.

But I don't see that your video proves anything. How do you know that the crash is a violation of the ToS? Could also be a bug in the game?
e.g.
- old event building that is not present in your cache
- the combined values from the museums etc. result in a number that the game does not understand
- a certain combination of researches
- Your device misinterprets a character (i.e. player or alliance name)? Player names causing bugs is nothing new; we all knew of the colored speed up requests if player names end with spaces.
- ...
Then it would just be a bug that needs to be addressed and should not result in a ban.

If everything that looks strange should be banned immediately, then your next ban appeal should probably be directed at yourself, because at 2:18 your temple looks very strange: floating time timestamps without a active blessings. Probably you manipulated the game there, or is this perhaps just a bug?

There is no temple at 2:18 time stamp… come to think of it my temple is located in the southwest corner and isn’t even depicted in the video.

Regardless, you’re missing the point… this was brought to the attention of VIP support 2 months ago. Everyone knows that crash bases exist, but for the sake of argument let’s say it was an old base or accident (whatever bs excuse you want to make up). It still doesn’t mean that whatever the cause is shouldn’t have been rectified 2 months ago.

But… we do know crash bases exist and are intentional so let’s take a step back into reality. Problem was reported 2 months ago and nothing was done about it yet they repeatedly spew out numbers of banned bases without transparency. This is just a small example of what the overall bigger problem is and if you’re going to nit pick at tiny details with your make believe “what ifs”, then you’re part of the problem as to why cheating gets dismissed.

from my observations, they ban those who do not donate. I wrote 5-6 complaints in CS about one of the Asian alliances *SUP*, but the cheaters were never banned. when I logged into their alliance with my secondary account, they laughed at me and claimed that they would never be banned because they have VIP level 8

lol well damn I learned something new today, I never even knew active blessings showed up there. Because I always tapped through it too fast, thank you for that.

To answer your question though, apparently it takes time to load. Considering I did it so fast the visuals did not load. I recreated the steps of adding a blessing from that screen and noticed the blessings were not showing up. I let it sit for a little bit and they eventually showed. Just a visual bug on BHGs part that’s out of my control.

I do appreciate you explaining what you saw though.

I can't speak to your personal experience @LuSt, but I can understand why you would assume that action was taken against those players by your report. Saying, '...we will sanction the players you reported...' makes it seem like they are certainly taking action, but the full sentence is that action will be taken IF the players are found in violation.

Our TOS wrt 'When information is shared' is mostly transparency on the handling of information in-game or through other outlets, such as our ad services, for example. The actions that can be shared with other users is like your war attacks. Usernames may appear on other sites, absolutely, but I don't think this would solve the ask of listing usernames as multiple people can have the same username, and that may cause some confusion. But really, I don't have any other reason than it might look messy on the post, and I may just opt to not share a list of names for weeks that we have a large number of bans for that reason alone, if I started sharing Usernames.

That being said, I can certainly look into adding usernames to the weekly cheating report. Perhaps we start acknowledging people who report cheating and thanking them when it has been confirmed and an action has been taken against a player as well.

Harlems i appreciate your response as always. I should learn your work schedule so I only post on days you’re available lol (seriously not being sarcastic).

It’s not that I construed the conversation with support to be that they were saying they would definitely ban the players but that it would be investigated- this was 2 months ago. By now I would have expected some type of result from that investigation whether it be a ban or correcting whatever issue on the base that player created. Not to have to deal with the same players and same issue 2 months later. That is the problem and why I had the impression that nothing was being done with reports.

Ultimately I am very grateful to hear that you are going to look into adding the names of the players banned when you post them. That really gives the community more confidence in actions taken against cheaters.

we want answers! As every time I report someone for an obvious exploit customer service gives me a scripted message and if your keep going you get 3 crap troop tactics! Like If you pay premium to win a war and they are caught cheating we want to know as we want our cash back!
