Has there been anything I missed on the timing of 5.7.5 balance, 5.8 update or 5.8.x balance update?

Well, they said 5.8 at the end of September, and the balance update before then. So I would assume the balance update would have to come this week or next.

Thanks. I assume the reduced price dock upgrade ties in with the imminent 5.7.5 balance upgrade, which adjusts worker count/time for expeditions.

Another question. How are the updates happening. Is it:

A) 5.7.5, followed by 5.8, followed by 5.8 balance update?

Or

B) 5.7.5, followed by 5.8 with integrated balance update?

Reading the SOTN I take it to be A (language like "beyond 5.8) but it would be nice to get clarity on this one.

First of all, thanx for the updates. The game is really evolving, which is a good thing.
saying that, i have some critism about it too...i always hoped the game would evolve into a more 'use your own strategy' kinda game, making it more divers for players.
but i keep noticing that that isnt the way you are making it.

i am concerned about that missile silo...sounds great, but in reality it can be a nightmare. Sounds just like the bazooka towers that are sometimes given in an event. I am atomic lvl, but if an ia player has a bazooka tower, i am almost certain that i cannot defeat that (more or less simple base for me) without loosing a big part of my army or all of my planes trying to shut it up first...
i think the missile silo is going to be a building that makes/breaks gameplay. Buildings that have a potential for loosing more then half an regular army are killing the game, giving newbee global and atomic players no chance of looting and becoming stronger anymore.

i was hoping for more player input. For example, i would really really like to be able to divide my army, team up parts of my army and assign them to a certain part of the playfield (kill everything in that square before going anywhere else)... I would really like to be able to rally only parts of my army (for example tanks taking out mortars while foot soldiers take out anti tank guns), so that i can put some of my own tactics in the game instead of just have to rally my whole army thats criscross on the field to a place that will eventually kill at least a part of them for nothing.

also i would like to be able to 'instruct' parts of my army to ignore certain defenses...like my tanks going into an useless battle with some other tanks or foot soldiers while they ought to destroy the barracks/stables they are made in and let them foot soldiers be handled by my gatlins or my foot soldiers...

So hopefully you can think about letting the player have more control over the army itself instead of putting more and more buildings in the ages that gives others no chance...

Hehe, i tried being brit for 1 day...it bugged me out, didnt know how fast to get enough crowns again to be roman again....british are only strong if used right and luckely a lot (like me) arent good in it... i play this game for about 2 years now and alltho the brits are sometimes a pain in the butt, i dont have more complaints about them then about other armies.....some buildings/armies are way more irritating for gameplay....do i need to mention the bazooka tower? Taking out an whole army just by itself if you are not fast enough? Or those stupid tactical choppers which i cant shoot down, even with 4 rockets and 4 upgraded anti air gjns, looting more then 11 k oil on an average day? And now going to add a new missile silo which seems to have the potential of killing a lot of ones army before you can get to it? (Cause it will be the most heavily defended building on the field if it has such a range and power of destruction)....i am atomic age, but this kind of buildings make i cant even have a decent win against someon 50 lvl's and 1 or 2 ages lower then me, and thats way more irritating then any british army can be (to me lol) ^^

Iam sure Nexon developers are very allergic when we compare this game to other similar games, and I just quit playing that "similar game" and start playing dominations, currently IA... only have 2 words "eagle artillery" ... really disappointed 🙁

A tip...stay in ia a longgggg time.....untill ia the game was great for me, then came global....me being used to have a difficult time in new ages until you upgraded the armies, well...global is different...upgrading armies takes longggggggg and dont add to much, spend all my global time (months, Almost half a year!) Chasing ia bases, cause global bases have way to heavy defenses (or i had way to weak global armies, anyway you wanna see it)...now atomic, got half my armies upgraded (core ones, tanks, artillery, shooters)...still got my ass kicked when attacking global bases with half upgraded defenses....army strength of global and atomic should be much greater, especially for the amount of time/resources you have to spend to get it done (2 stables upgrades at 10 or 12 days a piece? What??)...in global/atomic, make sure you have really, really fierce looking walls, cause thats the thing ppl think twice about, not the strength of the armies.
Would be so nice if every army upgrade just would ad 1/3 of the strength of the army an age lower instead of waiting 10 days for so ething like 7 attack points....lol

Hahaha, no i am not a bad player ;) but i am a player thats loots with a normal army, no tactics, no mercs....as i was able to do in every age ;) then you really see the difference...i can beat most of them any day during wars, with tactics, mercs, generals and all the extra goodies, but they are too expensive and tzke too much time to rebuild during normal everyday looting ;)

Always exited to see a new things in game 😀 about missile silo.... will most certainly target tanks because 3 tanks in cluster have more hp then 50 rifles (brits are safe again 🤔) but it will be really nasty if not destroyed with main forces, it will massacre forces cleaning up base buildings around ... Just hope it will be well balanced (damage/ firing rate) ... not very creative but support from me 😋
- strongly recommend developers consider reducing recovery time for generals, specially for low level generals! Makes no sense that level 1 general have same recovery time as level 31 general! High level generals should have more recovery time (fort change after destroyed)
- stronghold should be treated same as Fort! If destroyed under sabotage, additional troops inside must have less hp for single unit, or less number for multiple units troop cards. Not drastically less but less (people will still buy them for sure in war)
- what about rebalancing nations? If we look top 200 players, 80% are Germans, French or British, with not a single Jap player in top 100. Here'n'there some Koreans or China players... There's nice idea with second unique troop, think it would really help to balance nations war power!
