City Center spawn radius after the update

After the update City Center’s spawn radius got extended by a range of 2.
Till now City Center’s spawn radius was same as it was shown once you click on your City Center ( 5 range diagonaly and horizontaly from the edge of City Center)
Right now City Center spawns at a radius that’s longer by a range of 2.
Tested it couple of times already, so my question is - was it intended? Or is it a bug?
If it aas intended why info about it can’t be found anywhere in patch notes?

I , and probably many here messed up war attacks thanks to not knowing that spawn radius for defenders and donated troops from City Center changed.

A bug is an unintended consequence. Whether it's a random event or an unintended sequence of coding, as long as it's unintended.

Good catch!

“Town center defenders and donated troops activate from a much closer radius. This makes donations more valuable on defense, where previously they could easily be baited away.”

Until this can be re-implemented, maybe people could use the indicated strategy to deal with it?

I like that the balance changes were most increases or buffs. Ahh the good old days! :D

TinSoldier , any news from the devs on this issue? It's been a while since we heard from you.

Would really love to hear an update about this fix.
Any tentative timeline that they can give us for the roll-out of the fix would be nice!

I know that the next update would be 'Coming soon', but, anything more concrete would actually be a welcome change.

It wouldn't hurt to proactively plan for a patch release after every major release, and roll out fixes for unintended changes following a major release with the patch release. That way, it would be reactionary, and would also help in planning and carving out development time for addressing such issues fairly quickly following a major release.
Maybe, something to pass on to those who manage the development teams.

While I do know the TC defenders can be baited away with this increased range, would still like to go back to how it was prior to this unintended change.

Great !! recently we had a few entrance of low level members , but after this serious change they abandoned their accounts !
and now in every war we have to drop some of low levels because they can not do much in wars !
we could start 30Vs30 , now we are between Vs25 & Vs20 wars !

this change affected high levels either ! coz they have to go for clear bottom bases !

Keep going on NEXON /BHG ! you doing greattt!!!

It’s funny that the range increased by 2 and with this 6.2 update developers have said it was just an error with the white circle so they’re expanding it by 2.

Either you guys didn’t listen to the community or you didn’t look deep enough into the issue. Regardless of where the white circle is or has been. The 6.1 update increased the range by 2. All you’re doing now is making that change permanent.

I guess it was an easier fix for them to just change some text and move the white line. They claim it was an unintentional change but they won’t change it back, even with all the outcry of the actual game players. If it was never intended to be changed why wouldn’t the logical decision be to make it the way it was intended.

it means TC has 9 range from the edge !!

It was said in the details of new update that "Town Center now has the correct white radius where defenders are triggered" , while defenders triggered of 7 range from the edge (Proven by evidence) ,but you made it even worse than in details by increasing it again !

TinSoldier , How can a company be such a fraud company like you?

in war just b4 update i was caught out with tc spawn from decoy which shuld have been out of range ,it cost me the 5 star.the increased tc spawn area seems to be a bug that was there b4 update and nexon cannot fix it so in update they increased the circle .i was aware of it in current war and took precautions .i remember reading about this in another part of forum

Are you sure it's 9? It's 8 on my base.
(the 9th one is outside the radius)

The circle is on the ground. The isometric perspective on the wall means the top of the wall is at about the same spot as a road on the ground one space further back. So you have to look at the base of the wall to see distance - and in your screenshot, that is also showing 8 spaces. The base of the 9th wall is not inside the circle, barely on the edge of it.

If you had taken the same wall in a different direction (up and to the right instead of down), it would have looked like less than 8 spaces were in the circle. That is why using roads on the ground is optimal for measurement.

Company is not a fraud. Game design got lazy with their jobs and don't play the game. Just like any other game designer/company.

yemen, Yes , youre completely right ! other sides shows the correct distance , but it does not change the fact that they increased that again ! it supposed to be 7 but now its 8 !
