Concerning about Roads

I noticed that roads seems somewhat useless in defense and also a bother. Gold is much better earned in battles than collection from roads. I primarily observed that most of other nations abandoned using roads because of the space require to support it from the insides (since primarily Town Center are at the center which road must be connected from). In order to add more defensive strategical impact I suggest that roads should render movement speed bonus for garrisoned troops (% of movement speed should be determined on the numbers of your building connections). I also would like to suggest that in order for the bonus to take effect, roads must be connected to the Town Center. In that way players now have a visible options placing Roads adjacent to the garrisons, stables and other troop spawning structures.

Why I suggest this?
  1. Base layouts in Domi are particularly very similar to the COC
  2. With this bonuses in mind Base layouts will be more diversify and get out the COC strategy thinking.

This is a fantastic idea that will add another layer of strategy to base design.

Roads at the moment are just not currently worth congesting your city center.

In preface, I am glad to see that roads have benefit for gold collection through non-combat means already. This means that for players who prefer minimal combat, up-to-and-including being on the defensive only, they have a means to generate a meaningful gold income through the Ages. (Admittedly this is presuming one is, in fact, upgrading Caravans that use these roads as they provide a greater return on investment with more tiers and are more cost effective at that.)

The incentive to construct roads, so as to connect buildings to the Town Center through adjacent construction, is sound design... but I agree that they should do more than that for the resources they cost and -- in particular as the Ages pass -- the space that they take up and the time sink they can be to manage. They can be of benefit to troops, offensive and defensive alike, by providing a path of movement through a base. However, they should be of benefit of troops. Heck, with the road limit it's typically not even possible to have all of your buildings adjacent to at least one tile for the trade bonus anyway!

What you suggest, Rush, is sound design to me too and substantially helps address these greater concerns.
