Copper League Question

Can someone explain to me how someone with over 1300 medals (Atomic age player) is sitting at the top of copper League III (lowest league) when the medal level for III is 400-499? I thought when you reach over that you automatically go up to Copper II and so forth or am I missing something?

If they exit the game and gain a lot of medals from defences they will still remain in that league until they next log in and enter a battle. It's easy to gain a lot of medals overnight in the lower leagues.

Ok I see.. there are like 5 players just over the 499 so when they log in and start a battle it should bump them to Copper II.. just seems a big gap between the player in 2nd spot with 600 odd medals and 1st place with 1305. I presume you could just not login and get all the medals from defence then login and start a battle and you will jump quite a few leagues without actually doing much?

i think you have it correctly. i increase many many medals these days from night witch raids .. they 'lose' the fight each time i'm raided
