Do SAM sites actually work?

Finished two last night, plonked them down, just watched this morning's replay and attacker's planes just flew straight over the top of them a few times without going off.

I'll have to wait another 9hours until PT runs out to check again.

Right over the top, can't have missed it even with the tiny range and multiple times too. Might screen grab it if I can be arsed to deal with this forums non functioning image ability.

If they had shot down a plane or two, Chinese chummy would have only got 3 stars instead of 4 - got the last house with a plane at the last second. As he's Level 198 No 36 leaderboard, still would have been a 1 medal loss. I like those even if I've practically quit playing in any meaningful way.

Mine fired at #7s figher mk3, but 1100 out of 2900something is not a great deal, but it adds up I guess.

not bad, if you have 2 SAMs then its2200 ...and those 700 will be destroyed in that same flight by a random tower.

So effectively what we have is a liquid fuelled missile, that should conceivably destroy a plane because it's, you know, a liquid fuelled missile!!, with a range shorter than a tower and a warhead so weak, despite it being a liquid fuelled missile!!, it only makes a dent in the plane, yet sufficiently upgraded towers, armed only with with riflemen who don't have any liquid fuelled missiles!!, can bring down a plane?!!! ​Have l missed anything?

Except the fact the SAM missiles are usually solid fuel and not liquid fuel you are correct in what remains of your comment.

We can assure this is only a visual glitch and your resources have not been wasted on building SAM's. We are working hard to solve the issue, meanwhile we just aquire the rights to show you Tom & Jerry cartoons instead of battle replies, we are sure to be as usefull and more funny."

But yeah Trotuar - you're right - despite being in global l often think of this game as pre ww2. But then again solid fuel SAMs didnt really come into play until the 50s so Nexon should've waited til the nuclear age before introducing them.

I had a successful SAM launch today Eddie - although my towers and flak guns helped. And after the bomber was shot down, the missile launcher was sticking up like a middle finger salute to the invader. Nice!
