DomiNations Update 12.21 - Strike

Greetings Leaders,


DomiNations update 12.21 is rolling out very soon! It’s a huge update that gives tons for you to explore! First, we’ll talk about the new Multiplayer mode ‘Strike’, a new challenge that truly tests your mettle against foes within your Age. Multiple fixes for Alliance Requests arrive in this update too! Two Councilors are being introduced here, and a few more minor tweaks. Read on for full details!


Strike


A brand new challenge arrives with Strike. This mode will be a way to really explore just how strong your strategies are against an opponent at the same Age as you. Strikes offer you chances to attack with an extended preview for you to plan your attack.


When attempting a Strike, you’ll be matched only with a player at the same Age as yourself who has logged in within the last 30 days. The matchmaking will ignore Medal count, Peace Treaties, and you won’t be able to search for a next match. Each base you match up against will challenge you to obtain as many stars as you can to progress toward a coveted Strike Chest. You’ll find the Strike option in the same place that you would the Campaign and Multiplayer options.

• Players receive 3 Strikes each day, each allowing you to make a Strike Attack.
  • You will not be able to ‘bank’ strike attempts
  • After using all three Strikes, you can add more by watching a video ad (up to two more attempts)

• Main Hall Museums and Councilors are utilized in Strikes.
• Blessings cannot be used.
  • Currently active blessings will not be consumed and will be hidden with each strike.
• Defending bases will always have all Traps armed, all defensive buildings active (even if under construction), and deploy Generals.
  • You will not need to re-arm Traps or re-train Generals.
• Defending bases will also deploy donated Alliance Troops (if any exist).
  • Donated Troops will not be lost (Donated Troops used on offense will still be lost, however).
• Defending Bases will NOT lose resources from a Strike Attack.
  • Attackers will generate resources from their attacks without taking from these defending bases.
• Failing to defend against a Strike Attack will NOT activate a Peace Treaty.
• Medals are not won or lost from Strike Attacks.

You’ll have up to 5 minutes to preview the Base you’ve been paired with for the challenge. Your goal is to obtain all 5 victory stars! Collecting these stars will grant you the opportunity to obtain a Strike Chest. These chests differ from traditional Victory Chests in that they offer rewards based on your current Age. You even have a chance to obtain both Crowns and Legendary Tokens!

• Strike Chests will function like other chests; there won’t be a choice in one of three rewards like Victory Chests.
• If you successfully defend and deny all 5 Victory Stars when you are attacked in a Strike, you are awarded 50x Crowns, claimable in your Defense History!

Increased Video Retrain
With the addition of Strike, we’re also increasing the total video retrains available from 1 to 3 per day.

• These video retrains are separate from Strike.

Alliance Request Fixes
We’re finally ready to release our Alliance Request fixes! This has been a long time coming and we understand the difficulties in putting up with Alliance Requests disappearing from your Alliance Chats, especially when it comes to Troop Donation requests. We’ve essentially restructured how these requests are sent on the backend to create a much more consistent communication between you, the player, and the DomiNations game server.

These fixes address the following:

• Research Speed Up requests disappearing before all assists have been used.
• Troop Donation requests disappearing before hitting capacity and before timer runs out.
• If a communication error occurs when making a Donation/Speed Up Request the request doesn’t get posted to Alliance chat.
  • You will then be able to attempt to make another request.
• Chat Troop donation functionality will be temporarily unavailable between 8/29 and 9/3.

Update 12.21 introduces two new Councilors for you to look forward to!


Kong Qiu (Confucius) (Scholar)


In spite of his humble beginnings, he immersed himself in the ancient traditions and by his 20s he had gained a reputation for his teachings, which emphasized righteousness and proper conduct. Seeking a way to bring harmony back to his fractured world, Confucius spent decades of his career in politics and eventually rose to the position of Minister of Crime for the state of Lu.


As a teacher, Confucius drew on his lived experiences and spoke not of conquest or gold, but of conduct. He firmly believed that rulers should lead with virtue, that families were the bedrock of society, and that common rituals could unite people across class and time.


Though he never held great power, Confucius left behind a philosophy stronger than any titles. Long after his death, his teachings were adopted as state philosophy under the Han Dynasty. Over centuries, his ideas shaped civil service exams, schools, family structures, and statecraft—not just in China, but in Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. To this day, Confucius is remembered as a man who sought no throne, but ended up guiding emperors.


As your Councilor, Kong Qiu drastically improves the quantity of resources harvested from your Farms in the Primary Hall (up to 40%!!). In your War Hall Kong Qiu adds even more with increased Tower Damage & Sniper Tower Damage. Kong Qiu will arrive starting 9/8.

Spend Legendary Tokens on Store Offerings
You may have noticed that there is no updated Legendary Calendar for the month of September. That’s because Update 12.21 brings almost the entire collection of Legendary Artifacts to the store for Legendary Tokens! These deals expand your Legendary Artifact selection beyond what even Marco could make available, so stock up and fill those Showcases. While the Legendary Artifacts won’t be available right at launch, you can expect the new store options to arrive mid to late September!

You’ll want to check out your Inbox more frequently as we’ll be introducing rewards for certain links and messages! You just might find a Crown reward for following special links coming from us!


Additional Updates

• Fixed an issue where a new Manufactory under construction would be indestructible in battles, preventing the Complete Destruction Medal.
• Fixed the issue where the Quest Event Goals would disappear when cycling through multiple quest events in the same session.
• Corrected an issue where specific SpeedUps would fail to apply when used with Autofill.
• Some Localization and graphical corrections.

 

It’s getting to the point that I would rather be in Public Relations at Cracker Barrel than BHG if I was @Harlems369th.

Strangely, as an Australian, I understand that reference. We want him to be in public relations at American Eagle.

 

And another small, but annoying bug - when you remove a miscreant from the squad, it is no longer showing up in the chat. The removal notice serves as a warning to other bad donators.

Дополнительные обновления

• Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой новая строящаяся фабрика не поддавалась разрушению в боях, что препятствовало получению медали «Полное уничтожение».
• Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой цели квестовых событий исчезали при циклическом прохождении нескольких квестовых событий в одном сеансе.
• Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой некоторые ускорения не применялись при использовании функции автозаполнения.
• Некоторые локализационные и графические исправления.

Этот режим никаким образом не сделает эту игру более массовой и доходной. Надеюсь на счёт предыдущих "ребалансов" вы итак всё сами понимаете. Ваши последние обновления и "ребалансы" очевидно направлены на максимальный "выжим" денег из оставшихся игроков. Так как мне эта игра нравится я вам предлагаю следуещее- свяжитесь со мной по почте и я вам накидаю тонну идей и предложений, после которых вы не только выручите денег, но и сделаете эту игру более массовой. Сообщи своим покровителям сверху, что я готов вам помочь абсолютно бесплатно, я даже устраиваться к вам на работу не буду. Я зашёл сюда и написал это сообщение главным образом потому, что я встретил ботоводческий альянс созданный вами, в войне против себя. Если вы уже и до этого скатились, то я просто в огромном ужасе насколько эта игра стала непопулярная и с маленьким активом игроков. И последнее- если хочешь чтобы в игру играли люди, то сделай так чтобы тебе самому хотелось в неё играть

DomiNations update 12.21 is rolling out very soon! It’s a huge update that gives tons for you to explore! First, we’ll talk about the new Multiplayer mode ‘Strike’, a new challenge that truly tests your mettle against foes within your Age. Multiple fixes for Alliance Requests arrive in this update too! Two Councilors are being introduced here, and a few more minor tweaks. Read on for full details!


Strike


A brand new challenge arrives with Strike. This mode will be a way to really explore just how strong your strategies are against an opponent at the same Age as you. Strikes offer you chances to attack with an extended preview for you to plan your attack.


When attempting a Strike, you’ll be matched only with a player at the same Age as yourself who has logged in within the last 30 days. The matchmaking will ignore Medal count, Peace Treaties, and you won’t be able to search for a next match. Each base you match up against will challenge you to obtain as many stars as you can to progress toward a coveted Strike Chest. You’ll find the Strike option in the same place that you would the Campaign and Multiplayer options.

• Players receive 3 Strikes each day, each allowing you to make a Strike Attack.
  • You will not be able to ‘bank’ strike attempts
  • After using all three Strikes, you can add more by watching a video ad (up to two more attempts)

• Main Hall Museums and Councilors are utilized in Strikes.
• Blessings cannot be used.
  • Currently active blessings will not be consumed and will be hidden with each strike.
• Defending bases will always have all Traps armed, all defensive buildings active (even if under construction), and deploy Generals.
  • You will not need to re-arm Traps or re-train Generals.
• Defending bases will also deploy donated Alliance Troops (if any exist).
  • Donated Troops will not be lost (Donated Troops used on offense will still be lost, however).
• Defending Bases will NOT lose resources from a Strike Attack.
  • Attackers will generate resources from their attacks without taking from these defending bases.
• Failing to defend against a Strike Attack will NOT activate a Peace Treaty.
• Medals are not won or lost from Strike Attacks.

You’ll have up to 5 minutes to preview the Base you’ve been paired with for the challenge. Your goal is to obtain all 5 victory stars! Collecting these stars will grant you the opportunity to obtain a Strike Chest. These chests differ from traditional Victory Chests in that they offer rewards based on your current Age. You even have a chance to obtain both Crowns and Legendary Tokens!

• Strike Chests will function like other chests; there won’t be a choice in one of three rewards like Victory Chests.
• If you successfully defend and deny all 5 Victory Stars when you are attacked in a Strike, you are awarded 50x Crowns, claimable in your Defense History!

Increased Video Retrain
With the addition of Strike, we’re also increasing the total video retrains available from 1 to 3 per day.

• These video retrains are separate from Strike.

Alliance Request Fixes
We’re finally ready to release our Alliance Request fixes! This has been a long time coming and we understand the difficulties in putting up with Alliance Requests disappearing from your Alliance Chats, especially when it comes to Troop Donation requests. We’ve essentially restructured how these requests are sent on the backend to create a much more consistent communication between you, the player, and the DomiNations game server.

These fixes address the following:

• Research Speed Up requests disappearing before all assists have been used.
• Troop Donation requests disappearing before hitting capacity and before timer runs out.
• If a communication error occurs when making a Donation/Speed Up Request the request doesn’t get posted to Alliance chat.
  • You will then be able to attempt to make another request.
• Chat Troop donation functionality will be temporarily unavailable between 8/29 and 9/3.

Я отправил скриншот противника на войне, даже у самого вкаченого автовека с максимальными зданиями, в университете не было практически ничего , люди так не играют, я это знаю. Если это не ваш бот альянс, то обратите внимание на этот альянс, он сильно мешает другим альянсам к интересу в войне

 

Your company is a miserable joke, while failing to repair current bug, you are creating more bugs which also include bugs in the most crucial part of game-world wars. Why do you think people will keep throw money into the game to buy articrafts when they are not functioning? Have you ever tested your crap before publish it?

 

When are you going to address the frustrating chest system? The current drop rates and reward percentages feel unfair and disrespectful to players who dedicate time and effort to your game.

Chests with 2% drop rates after spending an entire week collecting 25 stars with premium troops is extremely discouraging.

Most rewards are filled with unnecessary “junk” instead of meaningful progression.

We have no choice or control over what we get, which makes the system feel like a punishment instead of a reward.


My suggestions:

1. Remove the low percentage RNG and allow players to choose their rewards.


2. At the very least, let us pick between meaningful items (like crowns and legendary tokens).


3. Clean out the filler rewards that add no value to the players’ progress.



Please, show your players some respect for their time and effort. Fixing this chest model will improve the experience for everyone and bring back a sense of fairness and reward.

Harlems, this is the 2nd time you guys fail to deliver what you promise for the patch. The University Alliance Speed-up still disappears for crying out loud. What is going on? Building and Library research Speed-ups work fine, heck, from my observation, even University Capstone tech speed-up request doesn't disappear prematurely. Tell your devs to recheck those parts and carry them over.

well it is good to get something new,but you just need to recheck those old things.the normal victory chest reward is still awful,the attacking strategy is not changed,the top playused resources can't be used.if you want to make rebalance by adding more council cards then at least add more seats,more committees,and return the old decent collection rewards,or I would rather you add more contemporary single player campaigns.

 

Donation requests are still off until next week, this was specifically a Speed Up request issue only.

This is my game screen since the update with the left menu bar NOT against the left side of my screen and I still can't request troops donations and I can't post screenshots to customer service. The menu bar location now affects my game play. It's in the way.

The side bar placement doesn't really affect gameplay that much but it is indicative of the one common denominator in this game: each update brings some bug or another.
Like a lucky dip prize or a box of chocolates ... you never know ...

Furthermore, the university is one of the truly long-term factors in the game. You spend years researching and, theoretically, can request an speedups of 7.5 hours every 12 hours. Even if we assume that you only request it once a day and that the request disappears after 2 assists, that's over 68 days (between $70 and $170 per player, depending on the offer) of lost speedups per year, over several years. Probably even more.

The concern is people are losing a prospective 15 hours per day in speed-ups for things that require citizens to complete - most of us consider that rather important.

Resources are free, the game is free, and speed-ups are free. Playing with absurd bugs that ruin attacks in multiplayer and world war mode would be a serious bug, not speed-ups. You'll grow more slowly during the year, but you'll grow in the end. I don't see what the big deal is.
