Donated Troops, Buff or No Buff?

An ally inquired last night whether donated troops retain the donor's library/uni buffs, or if those troops have the receiver's buffs applied. I thought the latter, and confirmed with CS that is correct. However, CS also brought up that not only are the donor's library/uni buff not retained, but neither are their unique nation unit buffs!!!

This doesn't seem correct to me. The example was that if a British ally donates a British archer to me, French nation, the +1 range is lost on those units once they are in my possession. I'm trying to get this clarified further from CS, but has anyone else heard such a thing?? Do we not like to give and receive unique units specifically because they retain their nation buffs?

Anyone have some more info on this?

What I can see in the defense log, a donated black watch has 4 range, but increased dmg compared to the attackers own riflemen

Perhaps it's only the British archer range that doesn't transfer? Though this seems so surprising. Anything on other unique nation unit allied troops?

Nb4powerup any insights?

Finally found a search term that reveals this question is being discussed in bugs and known issues as well, as of a few days ago. Looking like it's just the British range being wiped if donated to non-Brit, but- would still like definitive confirmation re: other nation buffed allied troops.

There is a visual bug with the range of archers/rifleman. It seems to show the value of your current nation. The following is from clicking the rifleman in my defence log:

Parmenion but CS is suggesting to me this is not a visual bug, but rather working as intended. And they seggested Brits only as an example, intimating this effects all nation buffs.

Here is the response I received from CS:

So, unique units keep the buff of the donating nation and do not take on any nation buff the receiver may have (only the receiver's library/uni researched buffs). Brit range descrepancy still in question as to whether this is a visual bug, or the only nation buff that isn't retained.

Need a definitive answer to this one, in my alliance we make sure the top rank Brit players donate shooters to war bases, are we wasting our time?

I also see this visual bug that claims black watch donated to me have a range of 4, yet when i have various archers from donations lining up to attack, the black watch are always in the rear lending some weight to the fact that perhaps it is only a visual glitch

I have some now- but now I need to remember to use them; then also to pay attention to how far back they stay!

I am here to put this to rest for the time being. Cs is wrong British rifles do keep there range when they are donated. I have video replay. As the French I got 3 kings royal riflemen and 3 korean rifles dropped in the same location and here's your results. https://youtu.be/oK_86u02MAk wasn't sure if first link is working so try both. 30 sec long https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oK_86u02MAk Cs is wrong donated krr do keep there range. Maybe they can pass the info along to the development team or at least correct there answer in the future! But for the time being I think this case is solved🤗
