Donating Troops Limits Not Right

I have a Level 3 Alliance Gate. I can receive 9 troops, but can only donate 5.

In Level 2 I could receive 6, but only donate 5.

Surely it should be receive 9, donate 8? at Level 3?


Jesse - can you please confirm the levels and the receive/donate amounts.
(the donate amount is also not shown in the info screen - only the "Alliance Troop Limit" which is the receive amount of 9)

Its a limitation u can only donate 5 units, but if the person has 9 space, others can put a horse in it that takes 6 populations and then u can still add 4 more units, aslong as it fits, so example u can put in 3 melee units in it.

as far as i seen (my alliance gate is lvl 5) its alwayes 5 max units as limation, but u can give more depending on what u give, such as cannonen 9/10 population or healing train 10 <- or horse 6 or wall miners etc

Also, keep in mind the difference between Troop Capacity and Troops Space (it's a little confusing, I know). Here's a brief explanation about these two values, let me know if that helps.


Troop Capacity is the total space available for your troops.

Troop Space is how much capacity an individual troop takes up.

The total Troop Space of all your trained troops has to be equal to or under your Troop Capacity.
For example, a Warrior has a Troop Space value of 1. So if your Troop Capacity is 30, you can build 30 Warriors
(30 Warriors x 1 Troop Space = 30 Troop Space)

Alternatively a Horse Raider has a Troop Space value of 3. So if your Troop Capacity is 25, you can build 8 Horse Raiders.
(8 Horse Raiders x 3 Troop Space = 24 Troop Space) You could always add a Warrior at 1 Troop Space to fill up your Troop Capacity in this case. One final note – you can only queue up troops at your Barracks up to your Troop Capacity. You can never go over.

I understand the capicity vs space. Thing is - I'd like to be able to donate more than 5 legion troops at a time (that's 5x1). Is there a reason that it's restricted to 5? (Sioux has a L5 Gate and can still only donate 5)

Troops request , there should be a place in the window where you request troops , to also cancel them if you decided that you pressed the wrong button or realized that you don't need them .
