Nexon has done a great job in adding side quests and game features to distract us from the grind of leveling our civilizations. World Wars are great for team building and coordination of large player battles. Events also have their attraction don't they!?! I've completed all of them easily since starting to play.

All previous events have been quite easy to obtain with a little creative playing. I think most people would agree that this event looks a little like a grind to get 10,900 defender troop kills!!!!

Still my question to you all is "what are you doing to maximize your defender kills per battle?"

Here is my idea/ contribution but I'm more interested in yours!!!

Losing Shooter Strategy:

1- train 60-70+ shooters, 4-8 gatling guns and maybe some healing carts
2- deploy a few shooters around the map just to engage defender spawn timers
3- select part of map where you can group shooters near wooded area away from towers, cannons etc but close to defensive spawns
4- deploy 6-12 shooters, gat guns etc in the safe zone and proceed to moe down the hordes of defenders who keep spawning
5- use pointer to consolidate and keep troops away from defensive buildings - the idea is to promote spawns not destroy them
6- repeat this 3.5 minutes until the battle counter drops down to 0

I've been doing this strategy continuously and am able to play without pause since my 3 barracks are constantly working on replenishing units. I've increased my total defender kills per battle from 40-50 in a total annihilation troop mix which can be expensive to 125-200 defender kills per 3.5 minutes/ battle. Side benefit is that you pick up trade goods.

Keys to success: Picking targets with weaker troops than you is important, keeping your barracks churning replacement troops and targets with spots to deploy away from towers is also important.

One drawback of this strategy is you keep losing each battle and you are essentially dropping ranks in leagues. If that doesn't bother you then this may work for you.

Thats the best I can do for now. Any other ideas or methods that work?

just to add a thing or two .. acropolis helps the spawn rate so choosing a base with this wonder would be beneficial. Also, the colosseum spawns lots of infantry so another good idea to pick these bases

avoiding bases with heavy tank bunkers is a good idea as the heavy tank has quite a lot of HP and only counts as one kill

I want so badly that +10 troop space, but every time I go hunting, I go back to looking for loot. I'm so not getting that final prize. Hahahaha....

Yes agreed Hugh - the coloseum is a gold mine for the walking dead defenders! Just finished this quest yesterday and you get 10 extra troop space which you can use for whatever you like (don't need to train flamethrowers). The damage done by the flamethrowers is definitely worth training some though. They do great building damage and defender damage is crazy.

Was it a bit of a grind? Yes
Was it worth it? Yes - though I tired of it at the end it was perversely pleasurable to watch my troops mow down waves of defenders lol!
