I find the current set up for setting a Friendly Challenge are not fair & even.
When someone sets a friendly challenge. It is not fair that users that are at higher levels than the user setting the friendly challenge, are allowed to attack a user at much lower levels.
When a user can wipe out a city that is at the Roman/gunpowder when the attacker is at modern war fair levels.
It should be set up that only users at the same historic level can attack cities/users within their same historic level.

I should have read your message first.. just posted about “Friendly Challenge against WAR opponents” - I think your issue might be solved with this - b/c you could do this on your own, without having to hit yourself and watching everyone else destroy you ;-)
I feel bad myself when lower level bases post friendly challenges… frequently only use some troops not to embarrass my teammates.
The remaining time during WARS could be a really great opportunity for people to hone their attacking skills!

the solution is attacking pattern like multiplayer: only 1 age above and below to you thus no more cold war age players will attack iron ages in fact with this even iron age bases can actually enjy the war.

Nah, I think friendly challenges are fine - they are really designed to hit yourself- to test your attacking strength- but it’s embarrassing b/c higher / stronger ppl in your alliance get to destroy / humiliate your base too…
While IF you are allowed to continue to attack during WARS after your 2-hits have been recorded you can try attacking a variety of levels with D-coalitions without being embarrassed because A it doesn’t count and B you don’t loose anything similar to friendly challenges

It would add an additional layer of value to being in an alliance and included in wars - and really help people with their attack strategies- while otherwise being idle with museum and council locked for war… it’s a way to choose your opponent instead of having to challenge only yourself or ask alliance members to put up challenges which wouldn’t include 3D and other coalitions

Why not just focus on the game upgrade your base and troops instead of looking for short cuts or crying stuff is unfair .

It gives you a reason to push harder. Nothing wrong with system now.

Armies of the same age may not be challenging enough. I agree a drone attacking an industrial is pointless but a few ages up is fine - and necessary to really test your defenses. Talk to your alliance beforehand - I'm sure they'll be understanding ... 🤭

It's called a 'challenge' after all. There's no challenge if it's fair.

This is not going to be good.
Sometimes the players at higher age also do mistakes even when attacking lower age bases, they will feel shame(especially when getting 3-4 stars on a lower age base like 2-3 ages lower) try to improve their strategy of attacking the base.
