Game fails to load Android and iOS

Im on IOS and the game just hangs on the loading screen. Have tried reinstalling but no joy. Are the bhg servers down again?

Same (IOS) for 21 hours now. I’m missing our War now. And at least two others in my alliance affected.

This is due to the Friendly Challenge bug; do not do friendly challenges yesterday or today. You must wait until that friendly challenge expires (24 hours from its start) before you can log back in. Yes, it's unfortunate.

Nobody should do friendly challenges right now, nor create them.

Nobody should do friendly challenges right now, nor create them.

Currently a fix specifically for the Friendly Challenge issue is on the way. You should be able to resume Friendly Challenges without issue.

Separately, we are still investigating the black screen folks are running into.

Today, when starting the game, a window occured, that there is a new update. After updating the game in the play store and starting the game, there's only a black window, nothing else. It stopps, before the blue "big huge games" signs appears.
Reinstalling the game hasn't changed anything.
Was there a bug in the new update?
