Greece: The Nation of Suck

Come to think of it the 40 minute bonus of shaving research/construction times - albeit useful and better than nothing - is becoming trivial when looking at long times that can last 4,5,8... even 10 days. Even increasing this to 10 minutes per age wouldn't be massive, but at least it would be a step in the right direction.

Please inform me about what is so great about the Japanese nation. My units are all fully indy upgraded yet my artillery has less firepower than the Korean enlight age cannon. My riflemen are no where near as good as well .. Chinese, British and Korean at enlight age too.

Strange how we never hear or read about the Japanese nation any more being a big power house. Glory days of the samurai horde sweeping over bases is long gone, classical age was an eternity ago. I must be the only player on the forum using them.

Any nation with strong foot soldiers - Japanese, Roman, German - loses their advantage when you reach GP or higher - they are too vulnerable against GP, EA & IA defenses. More often than not ranged units become your weapon of choice.

German's UUs are pretty useless from the get-go anyway.

Germany ain't bad with its 15% damage bonus after a win, not to mention more options for strategy with longer rallies and a lower cooldown before you can use them again.

I am currently playing as Greece as it has suited my way of play, but with the completion times stretching out for so long now this is not longer a perk that has any substance.

The thing is the game is constantly changing and evolving, so I'm anxious about making a jump to another nation. They need to buff up Greece before most people ditch it for something better, does anyone expect it to happen in the near future?

Yea it sucks as Greeks are supposed to be strongest in all terms.
But its about love.
I don't really give a shit about what they do to nation perks. As long as there is Great General Alexander with a beautiful sword & horse, as long as there is marvellous Acropolis to observe, as long as there are majestic Royal Companions to march...I've nothing to complain about.
