I understand that guerrillas go undetected by defensive buildings but what I cant understand is why they go completely ignored by foot troops and cavary units. I've been attacked twice in the last week by players who used guerrillas and they basically walked through dozens of defensive troops unchecked. Could it be that because they dont go after troops, the troops prioritize and go after units that pose a direct threat to them? I've noticed this behavior when I attack with cannons. Calvary units would be attacking my cannons and all of a sudden leave and attack the gunpowder unit who is attacking them. In that situation I can understand their behavior, but why ignore a unit that walks completely thru a whole army that takes out 5 defensive buildings before accidentally stepping on a spike trap?

Most likely ur defenders were locked onto a bait unit that was deployed before the guerilla was dropped

I watched a replay a few times and the guerrilla got shot a couple of times then the defender moved off allowing the guerrilla to continue

A defender will switch targets if he gets hit. Maybe that's why your guerrilla got a pass?

It is how to apply strategy with the troops A.I. By deploying troops first and get the garrison to spawn, all the defending troops will chase after the attacking troops. With this, deploying the Guerilla thereafter, will then make him almost invisible to all the defenders (unless new ones spawn).

In a different strategy, if you want your attacking troops to get less harassment from the defenders, deploy the Guerilla first and let him be the bait to get all the defenders away from your attacking army.
