Guide for playing with Germans

Oi Leaders!

I play in my main account with Korea, but Ive a second one with Germany, which is totally abandoned and wasted and I would like to do another one and leave this, playing again with germans because I want to do it with another play style, I dont want to repeat the same "archer+siege+healing" strategy; its boring. I want to learn how to play the "HI train" as Ive seen in many Germany players.
Im trying it in my, as said, wasted and abandoned account, which is a german medieval age and its frustrating, so I would like to see some opinions, tips, advices, etc about playing this awesome nation, and doing the HI stomping :) and well, this post would help many players who want to learn the same than me and change the strategy for another, maybe, funnier :)

A hug from Spain

I don't know what age you are but if you want to play as Germans and get the Heavy Tank (HI train?) I recommend you keep going with your second account until you get to Industrial. It's in the Industrial age where the German Heavy Tank really becomes fun.
Before you can get the HTs, the German fury bonus and quicker rallies are great for all ages and normal gameplay, this helps you to control your battles better and keep your troops together, especially if you use healers.
Before Industrial just keep raiding and getting resources to build up your offenses and/or defences, but wait until Industrial to get the HTs.

HI means Heavy Infantry, I meant Ive seen many players taking down bases only using its unique troop, and thats what I want to learn, how to properly use this strategy of full infantry :)

The only way I could see them work is if you relied heavily on planes & tactics to supress/eliminate/distract mortars and redoubts, plus some healers to heal some damage. Othewise, they will just get slaughtered en masse.

I've never seen a full HI attack against any of my base (multi or WW) which was victorious, the attacking was always killed quite fast. For me germans are good when you play with HT (I'm French and play only with HT, I don't switch because I appreciate the faster formation time of the french).

Heavy Infantry swarms generally only work on poorly designed bases at low medals. I use them quite often on both my French and German accounts when I'm dropping medals, hunting for diamonds and NTG'S, or trying to rack up lots of food and gold quickly.

I couldn't imagine them working well in wars where people put more effort into their base designs and tc howitzers are pretty much guaranteed. Just too many walls, mortars, redoubts and other nuisances to deal with.

For raiding though? German footies are superb, especially if you can keep stringing together fury bonuses. They make raiders completely useless, in my opinion.

I am playing as German since medieval age and still believe that British is the most powerful nation due +1range and 15% more damage of shooters and you need to upgrade just a few units and university researches to smash higher level bases! You lose only part of your army in each attack and the mp and war unit combination is almost the same.
So why am I playing as German? Because I like to try different combinations of factory units! The result is not better than a British attacker but it is joyful for me. Now I have Tactical helicopter and can drop my elite commando behind enemy line and laugh at the defenders who are following him. But as a German player you have to use different unit and tactic combinations for mp and war and your last attack before a war attack must be a win to get the 15% dmg bonus. Considering the training times it is a real trouble for me when I am out of time.

My mp army is consist of tanks, one commando, 1 or 2 howitzers and mainly heavy infantries but for war I use heavier units like bazooka and more howitzers.

As Ive seen both in my alliance and on youtube I had hope on using this strategy, but it doesnt seem to be real :( and tbh it doesnt make sense for me to have a nation and not using its unique troop, so If I wont be able to use the grunts all the time and win, I wont play Germany :/ I think Nexon should do something because this game cant be based on the same as always strategy to win; we must be allowed to try something different and get the same score as a shooter user like British or Korea.

The next nation apart of Germany is France. Can you pls tell me your strategy for them, both for low ages and for high ages? a mate told me its the same than shooter+ artillery but putting some horses.

When I was low age (before I got the tanks), I used around 6 horses, and besides this an equal number of shooters and infantry (no ballista/canon). After getting the french tanks during industrial age and early global I used 5-6 tanks, 3-4 artillery and the rest riflemen (at least 40 of them). And since I got the heavy tanks mk3 I used 4 heavy tanks, 3-4 howitzers and some infantry. Now in atomic age I use 5 HT mk5, 3 field howitzers and 8 infantry (both in WW or multi). Also for the HT config (and even the french tank config) it is important to have good airplanes to destroy anti-tank canons.

A fully heavy infantry army works well at lower ages. I play as Germans and have only just moved to Enlightenment. Before that I was using my HI a lot because they are powerful against young bases and they're cheap and quick to retrain. The main trick is to get in quick to take out the towers or defensive buildings. It helps to have about 10-12 shooters available as well, just in case.
Swarming them against EA or Industrial bases is suicide so you would be better off with a combination army from EA onwards.
