How do you change leaders in alliance when the leader is inactive

Hello I've started an alliance a while back and while I was promoting peeps to council I accidentally promoted someone to leader is there any way to change the leader of the alliance

I suspect you can't change a leader who is inactive. You may have to form a new alliance from scratch and get everyone to join it. Maybe announce it on your alliance forums...give a day or two notice...active loyal members will probably follow you to the new alliance....inactives will stay in the old alliance...probably not a bad outcome!
