Instead of messing with the troop stats

I was thinking that instead of messing with the troop stats like constantly nerf-ing this and nerf-ing that, why don't the developers just adjust the stats for every unit troop type to test it out each month?

Like we can treat the previous Cavalry buff as a "Horsie Raid Month", then maybe move on to buffing Archers and we can have a "Fiery Archers Month", then later a "Guerilla Crazy Month", then a "Mighty Cannons Month" and etc. The stats can go back to their original when the month is over. There are so many troop types, I'm sure there is enough to cycle through a year.

This way, it allows the developer to study players behavior and test the play styles before permanently buffing or nerfing a unit. It also encourages more diverse game play and exposure to different strategies.

You want beta release? Then all beta testers will complain about this and that as well .... Game developers have their own playtesters and knowledge of the game mechanics are used in consideration for unit and tech balances.

I think with the nature of this style of game, we are all beta testers. Playtesting is a nightmare, with every change somebody should start back in the Stone Age and play it all the way through in real-time to see if it's doable, which is never going to happen. But in the real-world developers and testers are going to be in IA with unlimited crowns, zero troop build time, zero upgrade times as they try to get the next Modern Age release ready. Hence all the clumsy nerfs and buffs.

The real problem it seems to me is the current troop HP, DPS, speed, etc is too set in stone - should be more dynamic and self-balancing.

Good idea ...

If not, current play flow is quite boring since Alliance War or Clan War is yet to come

The devs should allow any troop combo to be effective as long as it uses +3 troops. However, this is not the case. To win on offense you have to thing like bhg, or bring tactics, mercenaries, and blessings.

I'll tell you how nerf starts. Dbukalski just loots too much, then they look at what's he's doing and thinking, wait, he supposed to loot 3 times less than that. It was not our plan. Let's nerf it )))
Good unit types = more universal unit types, but they chose different direction. But in the end result I am still using 3 unit types and others are for support. When raiders which were used rarely before become the main striking force without any buffs, it means something is wrong with other units/balance.

I'd be funny if they tried this. We'd have the flavor of the week unit.
