interesting offer to buy attack helicopter with real money

the offer (it has an expiration date so i have to act fast) is 50 bucks USD to instantly enable me to train attack-helicopter with 1 time deployment of 4 choppers.

it is too good to pass this offer, even though i could buy quite bit games out there with 50 bucks, like the whole bundle of starcraft II or newest civilization game, but heck, i want the attack-helicopters, maybe i will be first person to possess this nice unit because i never seen anyone used it in multi-player or in war.

then i went to the armory, and noticed i could also instantly enable this by around 3500 crowns.... with current sale of 49.99 to buy me 9750 crowns,so i could buy it with 18 dollars worth of crowns.... of course minus the 1 time deployment of 4 choppers.

i thought offer is something i would get for a discount, maybe that 1 time deployment of 4 choppers is worth 32 dollars... maybe i will never know, because the BHG marketing just too smart for me to understand.... anyway, i'm gonna go blow that 50 bucks for all the boooos i can get, it will help me to think like a BHG.

it does suggest confusion and poor assumptions about their potential paying customer base. it's a little disturbing; it looks desparate -- not the image they want.
they need the paying customer base to grow; give incentives to change non-paying customers into paying customers.
the shockingly unwise deals do the opposite....

i'm pretty sure they've built up a service model with larger short-term needs than micro-purchases can fund.
make a game where the majority of your player base is cool with using a bunch of card troops for a good ww attack. as it stands it looks like (intuiting from what i see) only the very elite and unwise are in their customer base; they could change that with some smart process refactoring.

they are trying not to be pay-to-win, but i'm far less critical of this than others ... if they are stuck with an 'underwater' business/process model they should go there, and allow people who spend a few bucks to win. i can only speak for myself, but i have fun when someone flings EArchers at me... given my concerns i even appreciate it. i think the model that's both not-P2W and profitable would have started more humbly.

they should give incentives to potential cash paying customers (vs. crown based customers), so people with broader base will spend more on this game.

take estate for example, they artificially created demand (shortage) for workers by introducing university, if they play their card right, by offering a solution with reasonable price, they could profit handsomely from this. it is all digital content after all,it cost them nothing for the goods they deliver. But in reality, BHG is so greedy with the price of 50 dollars, and so stingy with only 3 workers (it doesn't solve anything), and how that played out, we all know, nobody likes it, everyone hates it.

same to this helicopter deal, it tried to ripoff a potential cash paying customer off again with a outrageous upfront price, if they want to increase their bottom line, they need to give meaningful incentives for those who are willing to pay cash, they are doing the complete opposite. (look at CoC for example, they constantly throw in 2x, 4x or even 10x sales, where you buy gems, you got 2x/4x or even 10x resources for free, it is all digital content for them, cost them nothing, everyone is happy there, CoC got the $$$ and players got virtual freebies.)
