Is the event live now?

Is the event that boosts production and loot live now? How are we supposed to know? Is there any indicator or anything we can see?

I don't think I can get too excited about this ......seems to me there are so many Industrial Age maxed out players already, that all any extra stuff we manage to pick up in this "event" is only going to be fodder for those maxed out players who don't need to worry about trying to build anything ...unless you have a five day peace treaty, or can amass enough , and have enough citizens to build something or use what you collect each time before you log out ...it's going to be pretty much just feeding the cheats before you get back to the game .
