One thing to consider as well is that if the alliance you are going against has 5-6 Iron Age bases at the bottom your team will beat those very quickly thus lowering your average time of destruction significantly as well. It probably evens out in the long run.

Your argument is only valid in case of a Stalemate, try stalemating overpowered stackers...good luck...you'll need it

This past Friday, the DomiNations team held an hour-long Q&A session answering questions specifically related to World War matchmaking and sandbagging. If you’re interested, please check out the thread.

1 You forgot to mention you only replued to questions that were easy to answer , and neglected to answer those of higher importance

2 A whole hour-long? Really? Couldn't you listen to all playing longer than that? That would surely help you developing the game into something that those playing want. That's another show of how Nexon doesn't care about their hypothetical buyers

Very excited about this update. Curious to see what Marco Polo has to offer me for trade from his exotic travels. Can't wait to hone my attacking skills on some of the best bases in my alliance, as well as be given better feedback on my base when my allies demolish it. Extra criteria for stalemate is interesting... I see it helping and hurting many alliances including my own, but losing isn't everything. Not too thrilled about Amelia Earhart, as the villager requirement and time will be immense, negating any chance I have to complete it; but hey, the game has to cater to all including those willing to pay for maxed bases.

Well as excited as i am for the replays beta and alliances challenges meaning i can train my teammates and actually improve. Im not thrilled by the stalemate thing as that tips the scale even more heavily to sandbaggers. While some might say its the opposite because of the iron ages, they are forgetting this people are heavily stacked in their stronger bases giving them the ridiculous ability to steam roll every single base just with huge level and age gaps. All the while we struggle to even score stars or hugely invest troop-tactics into trying to even the field, just for them to go their merry way bulldozing every single one of our bases due to their huge stack in the lower numbers.

You are not alone mate. Just like 6 wars ago our alliance got sandbagged twice in a row, and just like i posted in the thread i feel this only tips the scales more in sandbaggers favor.

I am looking forward to the Alliance challenge feature. It will let me try different army compositions against our best bases. Great training tool! Just one question; will replays be available to the ally whose base was attacked? This would be great for 2 reasons; one, to see where your base is weak, and two, to see your strongest allies' attack strategies.

I look forward to attacking my alliance mates and vice versa to find out what designs work and what can be improved.

I am now upgrading my university to lvl 4 to be able to get some benefits for air units even I am only in IA.

What about Alliance challenge and using blessings and troop tactics?
Can we use everything we have to crush our friends and still be sure that we don't lose anything for real attacks?

I'm concern about possible bugs with this feature that comes with every update ;)

Yeah, that's a real concern. If they turned off the server link during the attack it would avoid the problem, but then we wouldn't get replays.

I'm excited about the Alliance challenge and Amelia. I'm not sure about this tie breaker (it seems to favour sandbagging teams) and I'm disappointed by the lack of action on the matchmaking front. Then again, this is a SotN and not patch notes, so perhaps there will be some matchmaking tweaks too that weren't mentioned here yet.

Quovatis, I think we have had 2 in our last 10, so it still happens. Its also often our 'best possible outcome' that we shoot for when up against big sandbagging teams. You are on the other side of the perspective I think. It is very true that stalemates are much more rare than before which is great....but overall this just means we lose to sandbaggers more than before. When we meet teams that have an average lvl 20-40 higher than ours excluding 2-4 sandbags, the only thing we can ever shoot for is a stalemate. Ive said it from the outset, if sandbagging and stalemates are not solved at the same time, it makes whichever is not solved infinitely worse. And, in this case, stalemates are all but solved and sandbagging has indeed become infinitely worse and more critical of a strategy now than ever before. I do like this change in the long run, but they really need to fix sandbagging, its awful.

The 4 iron ages will be a disadvantage for the sandbagging team. However, the 20-30+ level advantage on the remaining 26 bases will be a significantly larger advantage in favor of the sandbagging team.

I think these are some very exciting changes overall. I love the alliance challenge!

For the tiebreaker....I actually think it is a great idea for a tiebreaker! However, I also strongly feel that it again is a change that encourages sandbagging. Having a 20-30+ level advantage on 80% of the bases (this is what sandbagging allows) will ensure that a team never ever loses a tiebreaker based on time, even if the opposing team speed kills the few irons. I wish that you could have solved stalemates and sandbagging at the same time. Solving sandbagging would have made stalemates even worse than they were if there was no solution....but you've solved stalemates and you've made sandbagging so much worse because no effort has been put forth there.

Those sandbaggers will be giving you a nice handicap on the battle time element with those Iron Age bases. I'm not convinced they have the advantage if the tiebreaker gets to that point.

Really Hyped for alliance wars , please look into a bug where carts stop healing & moving and improve AI (attacking walls while there is an empty hole)

good points but I am hopeful that the devs are aware that both sandbagging and stalemates are problematic and are working on ways to address both problems. They have been much more responsive lately than 6 months or so ago when these problems were first starting to ruin things.... maybe they were stripped of donut priviledges until they came up with a good solution ?!?!
