Matchmaking improved?

If matchmaking is so improved, why have the majority of our matches lately been swinging back and forth on a pendulum from super easy to super hard? From 15 atomics and 10 over 200 and a little guy at the end to help them out, to our 7 atomics and 4 over 200 to so easy we don't bother with coalitions? Oh, and the glory we get from super easy doesn't compare to what we lose in most of the super hard ones.

We were getting better matches in the trial before this one, but I know some alliances had to wait unreasonable amounts of time for matches also.

Matchmaking has improved over all. At least the atomic misranking bug is fixed at last and everyone is getting matches to my knowledge. But I hope that the devs aren't sitting back and thinking their work is finished. Plenty of frustration still out there.

Biggest problem is the lack of sufficient advanced-age players. The upgrade times to reach mid to advanced Atomic age is large, and few new players will make it there. As an alliance of mostly Atomic age players, we are matched with the same ~10 alliances over and over again. It gets boring seeing the same matchups. Maybe once a month we are matched with a new alliance we've never seen before, and it's usually highly skewed in our favor.

I used to play CoC in a clan that had mostly maxed bases, and we NEVER ONCE matched the same clan twice in a war. Just puts things in perspective. Yes there is a big difference in total players between the games, but the distribution of the advancement of players is also very different. Dominations is much more heavily skewed toward lower ages than CoC is because of the absurd upgrade times.
