Medal incentives

I would like to discuss the new medal incentives that have been introduced to encourage players to have higher medals. Basically I have been keeping my medals intentionally low so that I can loot more. I know this is frowned upon and alot of players do it. If there was a decent incentive to make my medal higher then I would do it. The new leagues however are just not that great. I started on the lowest league and the reward is negligible 1500 food or gold or 1 to 3 trade resources. Jumping up to the next league and the reward increase is 1000 gold per day??? What a joke I may as well stay at a low medal and plunder 100s of thousands of gold. What does everyone else think. I'd also like to hear from people in the higher leagues about the rewards and weather they think it is worth it

I agree - I'm staying low, and smashing people coming up the ladder who don't know any better. The incentive does need to be much better if they want to stop people doing it.

I'm on a lowly 450ish - but I can easily smash 50k gold, 50k food in ONE BATTLE! and I mean EASY. So there has be to much better incentive than 1000 or 1500 or whatever it is.

Im basically in the same boat. I can get 50k gold in one raid and save most of my army for 2 or 3 more.

For the couple past days I've encountered my best loots, totally valued over 300k adding both money and food together. This has happened when I've been around 500-560 honor. No way Im going to the bottom for easier loots... high risk - high reward!

That's a good tactic too - thou you have to upgrade all your troops in your barracks - I'm not there yet - once I do I'll move up a bit in medals. It's more about staying competative and winning vs. loosing the whole army.

I was really hoping that the leagues would bring an incentive to get the highest medals possible and thus balance out the current matchmaking, but alas... 500 medals gets me 1,500 gold or food a day? When my upgrades are costing 600k+?! I may as well stay in the 200's and get over 50k per raid with minimal losses (especially with the MASSIVE nerd to armour and weapons blessings making it nearly worthless to attack people the same level.)

I do also think the rewards needs to get a boost, but this is indeed a really good start to reward players with high medals! :)
