Need Defensive Directives, not offensive

Offensive directive consumable drones just aren’t appealing. Not worth the money spent.

Now defensive directives… those would probably sell like hot cakes. Attackers already spend money on TTs… it’s the defenders they need to target from a marketing perspective because most (not all) don’t spend as much on consumables as offensive players. It’s an untapped revenue that could be filled by consumable drones.

Same way you lock in your museum and council before war starts. When a war begins whatever defensive drone is activated it would be consumed. Simple programming could scan for a consumable drone in war drone building and consume it once war begins.

“Shockwave Drone” stuns invading troops for 2 seconds, pulses every 10 seconds when active.

Or… “EMP drone” distorts vision over the area drone covers for 10 seconds

Or… “Caltrop Drone” slows and suppresses all enemies in the area drone covers while active

Besides the monetary value for the company, the game play would be so much more interesting for everyone. The new library wing was a step in the right direction but top tier defenders are still being cleared in 2min by top tier attackers. This is something that could really be game changing for a defenders base.

I agree. Counter intelligence Is the only useful defensive directive. Defense definitely needs more choices.

Feels like they made a conscious choice to make all defensive directives free from the beginning, which is a good thing for defenders. Also giving defense easily the most powerful directive in the game feels intentional. Overall it feels like a win for defense.

Isn't this thread essentially saying charged directives aren't great (which are all offensive today) but then requests good charged defensive directives? I suspect adding good defensive charged directives would mean also adding good offensive charged directives, so be careful what you wish for ;)

That’s precisely what I’m saying. The offensive charged directives are not overwhelming impressive and not worth the money. No I don’t think better offensive charged directives should be released because attackers already spend on Troop Tactics, hence the whole concept of focus your sales pitch on the other half of your audience that doesn’t typically spend as much on consumables (defenders).

Additionally, adding charged directives for defenders that are extremely strong would be a huge benefit to the game. Reasons I say this are…

-variety for defenders that aren’t overplayed because they can use consumables (this way there’s no best in slot, set it and forget it like with Counter Intelligence Drone that EVERY defender uses)

-more of a challenge clearing their bases, as previously stated strong 3D bases are still being cleared in under 2 minutes. My opinion is that 5 starting an end game war base should be rare, not expected.

-revenue for BHG helps their company prophet which in turn advances the game with better quality developers (example- BHG notorious for glitches every update 😒)
