by having a separate recruit day and crown day, people only watch 5 ads to get 40 crowns. if they mixed it up people would have to watch 10 ads to get 40 crowns.

Well that's good for us isn't? If the crown rewards are measly at the moment, watching fewer ads for crowns is better all-round.

thats the mystery part. if nexon’s aim is as davina says, then it doesnt make sense to have us watch fewer ads for the same amount of rewards

It might not be good for Nexon but the '5 ads for 40 crowns' might be Nexon's max threshold, the point where they're happy with the number of ads for the number of crowns. It's a good balance for them and us.
Personally, I think 5 ads for 80-100 crowns is a better balance but no doubt Nexon would disagree.
Davina's comments are spot on. I think they'll have a look at the results after a month or two and hopefully they'll keep the combinations that got the most views (because they generated the most revenue from advertisers) and scrap the ones that didn't.
Then perhaps they'll do variations on the ones they keep. At least, that's my hope.

I had a good laugh when I saw today's rewards. Nexon figured out supplies are more valuable than benefactors and researchers so they moved them to the 4th slot. This revelation led them to keep the number of supplies the same at 5 and increase the number of benefactors and researchers!

I did appreciate getting a random 2 star World War Hall artifact instead of a main hall artifact.

Yeah, generous... As many as 10 crowns per video! This time I step back from the rule of ignoring the video and watch it.

Recruits are not useless. Today's have HT in the package. Just took 2 minutes of my life to waste for them. Definitely not bad.
