Hi folks,

I'll admit right off the bat that I also casually play Clash of Clans. I know, I know... don't hate me for it.
Having said that, I think Dominations is the better game and I enjoy that far more than the fantasy setting of CoC.

That doesn't mean however that CoC doesn't have (in my opinion) very good concepts (apart from being more responsive, better performing and generally far less bug ridden than Dominations currently is).

3 of them I enjoy quite a lot and that's how CoC handles it's peace time and training time.

One of the frustrating things in my mind for Dominations compared to CoC is the rather long training time of troops and tactics. I know you can use blessings, but that's besides the point.
When I log on, I want to attack things as that's the enjoyable thing of the game. I don't want to do 1 attack and then sit for an hour to wait for my troops (even longer if I need to get my tactics!) to come back. I know if I do a good attack and my troops return home the training time is far less, but even a couple of howitzers will take some time to train.

CoC recognizes this and has far less training time requirements for the troops and spells, allowing me to attack more.

Now add to that the way they work with peace time.
If I have a peace time in CoC of say 12 hours, I can attack freely and my peace time is reduced, not removed. this allows me to train up and attack again knowing that my town is safe. Then, I have 30 minutes grace of active guard to attack as I see fit. Also, the unique 'generals' in CoC take far less time to recuperate, again favoring the attack.

When you add to that that when I scout enemies I don't lose peace time. As soon as I start scouting in Dominations my peace time is removed even if I don't actually attack.

Then it also adds the option in CoC of an attack reward when I get a culmination of 5 battle stars which adds resources to the vault's treasury. This allows me to save up without fear of it being looted.
Add all that up and it's the perfect enticement to keep attacking and grow in the game.

So really what I'm proposing is to... borrow some of the features of CoC to make it more enjoyable to log on and keep coming back:

1) reduce peace time with a successful attack, not remove it. The better the attack (# of stars), the more peace time is removed (say, 10% peace time removed per star won during the attack?)
2) reduce training times overall dramatically, allowing you to attack more often
3) do not remove peace time when scouting enemies; only remove peace time when actually attacking
4) Add an attack bonus like clash of clans that when you reach a certain number of battle stars every 24 hours (13?), you gain bonus loot which gets added to your command centre (and therefore can still be looted!). If you're attacked, the counter gets re-set after a successful 13 stars or after 24 hours.

I'm quite passionate about Dominations but I think it can learn a few things from CoC yet...

Hopefully you can all add your constructive thoughts on this. Let me know what you think.

Oh, and being able to boost your resource buildings might be a nice idea as well...

I like these concepts a lot. 2 and 3 make the most sense. Giving players more of an incentive to attack, and more often, can only be a good thing.

...Oh, and bug fixes.

I think the active guard in Coc is a good idea- i get losing a peace treaty when u attack- ur no longer at peace but u should have a guard for a bit anyways. That would be nice- and the training of tactics auuugh- i dont mind the troops but tactics- 45 mins per tactic omg lol

I'm glad some of you like the ideas. I'm wondering what Nexon's stance on them is. I feel I'm being torn between CoC for it's accessibility and for allowing me to attack more often and at a moment thats suitable for me rather than the quite restrictive regime of attacking within Dominations...
