Playing makes no more sense anymore

I started playing 2 years ago - I was impressed by the grafics and the gameplay.
I came from Clash of Clans and I was quite a good player at Clash of Clans then.

Building my town, upgrading everything - yeah I knew it and it was fun. Even when leveling up meant times got longer and longer - I learned to sit that out so its not frustrating to wait for 10 days for an upgrade to be finished - because during that time you usually can play to have fun.

But that changed totally over the last year !

Its no more fun to attack others at all - why ? Because the troops have become totally stupid !
Its absolutly non forseable how they will act - especially the "gather together" command is totally USELESS.
How often I used that command to gather my troops - only to watch that they dont react at all - this bug is in the game for years and havnt been fixed at all.
How often have I gathered to notice theres no initial acceleration - and no theres no slowing down obstacles in the path - the acceleration just dont kick in - again a bug thats not fixed for long.
And how often did I gather my troops - only to watch them walk back the same way they had come after gathering - even theres buildings narer to fight - they just love to slowly walk back from where I gathered them - and sure they dont defend themselves then and get killed.

2 years ago also troops were smart enough to bundle their forced to go thru ONE piece of wall together.
Today my machine guns fight their wall while the tanks fight the wall 2 pieces to the left and my artillery the one 2 pieces to the right - and even when the artillery got their ice down only the tanks advance truh this gap but my machine guns still fight their piece ... it just shows that NEXON doesnt test and doesnt care at all !

Last bug I noticed - an enemys MK1 came from a bunker and my troops totally ignored it. My machine-guns just walked by him on their way to somewhere else - the only missing was them greeting him while being slaughtered. Yes you read it right - they passed the MK1 maybe in 2 fields distance and did nothing - ususlly they should stop and fight ....

Also nowadays troops tend to NOT stay together - my artillery loves to go right while my tanks go left and my rifles just do what they want - so whatever corner I start placing my troops its impossible to have them orderly attacking an enemy - after 10-15 seconds its pure chaos - and theres NO WAY to order them because gather together doesnt work as expected.

That way my now maxed global troops usually have no chance to win against any other global player - and I dont believe that its me being too stupid to play the game.
I can only place my troops strategically at start - and then watch what happens - but if the troops have no order at all ....

Thats why I noticed that I got mostly attacked by stronger players only - atomic age or higher - like me the other players noticed that theres no real chance to fight a player your strength because its impossible with these dumb troops !

I liked the game - thats why I bought the 2 extra houses and also some crowns from the shop.
In my understanding its ok to pay the programmers for their work that way.

But today - I would like to buy the residence to have 3 more workers - but I wont do that.
I noticed that NEXON doesnt fix the bugs and doesnt improve the gameplay.
Instead they bring out add-ons to buy and add-ons only to make money like the museum.

Its sad to watch another game go down the drain and getting slaughtered for moneymaking only.

Yes the AI is horrendous but it's certainly no worse than it was two years ago. The problem is that it's exactly the same as it was two years ago while they continue to pile on stronger defenses and do things like increase tactics spaces, so it's more noticeable. Then rather than do the hard work of making a more responsive attack AI they just added the museum instead. That way you can do fewer attacks and not spend as much time noticing all the dumb behaviors they can't be bothered to fix. Of course museum bonuses all fall under the whims of RNGesus so individual mileages may vary.

Unfortunately, I can't recall the last time anyone in an official capacity even responded to an AI post so what you see is what you get as far as that goes. It's a 3+ year-old game that they want to keep playable on the maximum number of devices so all of the focus just goes to new things they can sell at this point.

So thats why I ask NEXON - Why should we pay for an ancient game any cent more ?

Go back to CoC if you want a consistent experience, this game is a seat of your pants ever changing pay to win thrill ride, fixing bugs isn’t profitable, making features that generate more revenue is.

play germans that's the only viable option now
other nations are useless but ofc u can use german combo for any nation and it will work fine
but it works best with germans

among all units shooters are the worst AI their AI is deliberately messed up to become the most useless unit in game right now
they have no role in top tear wars they do no damage to defenders of all types
and basically Elephant archers replaced them much better in clearing defenders

so whatever u do don't play with shooters if u want to take down on hard targets but on weaker targets they work fine

Realistically, honestly, if this game stayed the same as when it was created 3 years ago many people should have quitted also.
You will have to quit your games eventually one by one. You will eventually find your own reasons. Not only about game play, not only about features, not only about bugs and cheats. Everything could be the reason.
For us who are still enjoying it, just keep playing until we reach our limit
As long as our Devs still periodically give new features and updates, the game will still continue!
