My first electronic game was called "Pong" in ~1976. I've been gaming a long, long time. Since the age of internet gaming, I've been involved in well over 100 different gaming communities of various genres. Almost every game in the internet era has an accompanying website and forums, sometimes multiple forums when you include player maintained "unofficial" forums, that are usually private to certain clans, guilds, etc., or in the case of DomiNations, Alliances. Of all of those different forums I've been involved with, these are absolutely the most restrictive forums I've ever seen. Most forums have bots immediate censor use of certain words that would be inappropriate, and moderators or "mods" that filter other inappropriate content out after it's posted. Sometimes players are suspended or even banned from the forums and/or the game altogether depending on the situation. I think that's fair.

These forums seem to do it the other way around. I post something up here, and it takes days to actually post, if it does at all. I've had to put in tickets about posting in here, that's ridiculous. It still says "test" at the top of every page in here. What's up with that? I'm not even sure if my posts are visible to the public at all (none have been responded to except by myself). My opinion is that this is some really paranoid censorship. When looking at the BHG website, it says the company is based on the east coast of the United States. Is that where the management and employees are from? I would expect this level of censorship and paranoia from somewhere on the other side of the world, not America.

Once again, it's taking my posts the better part of a week to actually post where they can be seen. That's unheard of to me. BHG can do things however they want, but now when I look at all of the inactive players in my alliance alone, I don't wonder why as much. This and other complaints aside, the game itself is pretty cool, so you have to wonder why players haven't been online in over 1000 days.
