Repeating targets

When searching for MP battles, the same opponents keep coming up fairly regularly. I am an Info Age player. Usually between 2000 and 3000 medals. I didn’t used to see this much repetition of targets. Given that it costs me 3500 gold every time I hit Search, I expect better diversity of targets.

Does it matter that search costs 3500? I'm in Digital Age. Search costs me 3000, but both those sums are absolutely insignificant to me. I spend millions every day to Parliament, or upgrading walls, which are almost all maxed already. Building upgrades take soooo incredibly long at this point that, I'm just glad that there are some other places where to spend all the extra resources.

Lack of diversity is probably due to the limitation of opponents to only your peers and DA bases. Luckily I seem to get pretty much variation even though I'm at about 3600 medals.

Apparently, the reason is that you drop medals. At level 2000, there are too few suitable opponents for you..
