Hello Leaders,
We are very excited to be putting the finishing touches on the Atomic Age, which will launch in a few weeks! This era is meant to roughly cover the decade following the end of WWII in 1945. This was a period of tremendous progress and hope that technological innovation would continue to improve humanity’s lot around the world.
We bring two new unit lines to the game that are emblematic of the era: the Helicopter and the Armored Personnel Carrier (APC). The Helicopter is a flying siege unit that deals damage at a distance that outranges most defensive buildings, but is fragile if it comes under fire from defending troops. The APC is a sturdy ground vehicle that deploys new heavy infantry every few seconds and lays down covering fire with its machine gun. Both are very powerful when carefully protected and used with combined arms tactics.
It’s also time for a new set of Wonders of the World: The United Nations, The Pentagon, The Atomium, and The Sydney Opera House. My personal favorite is the United Nations, which spawns a Peacekeeping Force of ALL the unique units from the different Nations! The U.N. also provides three random National Trade Goods every day to keep fueling your Coalitions.
In addition to work on the Atomic Age, a lot of hours over the past few releases have gone towards improving the core game experience, from fixing bugs to small improvements in the user interface. We have fixed the majority of issues with missing War Loot, and will be rolling out improvements to stability over the next few weeks and in the next update. The next update also resolves issues surrounding recent Network Errors, which you can read more about more here: https://forum.nexonm.com/forum/nexonm-games/dominations/bugs-and-known-issues/556912-network-issues-no-spinner
However, we are still working on War Replays, which I know comes as a disappointment to players that are highly engaged in World Wars. To be straightforward, when we took a deep look at the problem, we uncovered some architectural issues that have been more difficult to untangle than we had hoped. We deeply apologize for the delay in getting this feature out, but are continuing to work on it.
I’d also like to highlight one new feature from the last release that is meant to help players progress through the game, which is the ability to earn crowns and other valuable items by watching video ads or completing offers. I’m pretty diligent about watching all of my video ads every day and it has significantly increased my stash of Crowns!
One other big piece of news - I’m very happy to announce a new addition to the DomiNations team here at BHG. Please join me in welcoming Executive Producer Brian DeSanti to the crew; he’ll be taking over the State of the Nations moving forward. Brian brings a ton of experience from other games such as Marvel Contest of Champions, Kingdoms of Camelot, and Realm of the Mad God. He’s a staunch advocate for game quality and features that help connect our players, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he has in store for the game.
One last time, I’d like to take a moment and sincerely, deeply thank all our Leaders for their continued support. We know that we still have a lot of work to do on DomiNations for it to be the best possible experience. But we remain in love with this game and excited about telling the story of human history for many more years to come. Thanks for joining us on the journey!
