Hello Leaders,

We are very excited to be putting the finishing touches on the Atomic Age, which will launch in a few weeks! This era is meant to roughly cover the decade following the end of WWII in 1945. This was a period of tremendous progress and hope that technological innovation would continue to improve humanity’s lot around the world.

We bring two new unit lines to the game that are emblematic of the era: the Helicopter and the Armored Personnel Carrier (APC). The Helicopter is a flying siege unit that deals damage at a distance that outranges most defensive buildings, but is fragile if it comes under fire from defending troops. The APC is a sturdy ground vehicle that deploys new heavy infantry every few seconds and lays down covering fire with its machine gun. Both are very powerful when carefully protected and used with combined arms tactics.

It’s also time for a new set of Wonders of the World: The United Nations, The Pentagon, The Atomium, and The Sydney Opera House. My personal favorite is the United Nations, which spawns a Peacekeeping Force of ALL the unique units from the different Nations! The U.N. also provides three random National Trade Goods every day to keep fueling your Coalitions.

In addition to work on the Atomic Age, a lot of hours over the past few releases have gone towards improving the core game experience, from fixing bugs to small improvements in the user interface. We have fixed the majority of issues with missing War Loot, and will be rolling out improvements to stability over the next few weeks and in the next update. The next update also resolves issues surrounding recent Network Errors, which you can read more about more here: https://forum.nexonm.com/forum/nexonm-games/dominations/bugs-and-known-issues/556912-network-issues-no-spinner

However, we are still working on War Replays, which I know comes as a disappointment to players that are highly engaged in World Wars. To be straightforward, when we took a deep look at the problem, we uncovered some architectural issues that have been more difficult to untangle than we had hoped. We deeply apologize for the delay in getting this feature out, but are continuing to work on it.

I’d also like to highlight one new feature from the last release that is meant to help players progress through the game, which is the ability to earn crowns and other valuable items by watching video ads or completing offers. I’m pretty diligent about watching all of my video ads every day and it has significantly increased my stash of Crowns!

One other big piece of news - I’m very happy to announce a new addition to the DomiNations team here at BHG. Please join me in welcoming Executive Producer Brian DeSanti to the crew; he’ll be taking over the State of the Nations moving forward. Brian brings a ton of experience from other games such as Marvel Contest of Champions, Kingdoms of Camelot, and Realm of the Mad God. He’s a staunch advocate for game quality and features that help connect our players, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he has in store for the game.

One last time, I’d like to take a moment and sincerely, deeply thank all our Leaders for their continued support. We know that we still have a lot of work to do on DomiNations for it to be the best possible experience. But we remain in love with this game and excited about telling the story of human history for many more years to come. Thanks for joining us on the journey!

~Tim

So what about sandbagging? It's been over a month since you said something was going to be done about it and since then the silence has been deafening.

What is the update on Iron age stacking/sandbagging? For many people, it has ruined the core feature of your game and is more important than any new content (except for maybe the network crash). Its been 3+ months since it has consistently been the biggest topic on your community forums, and 5 weeks since you made your first statement that it was being worked on. Whats the update here?

this all sounds awesome but i'm also curious about the stacking/sandbagging issue, it's been acknowledged that this isn't how the game is meant to be played and yet nothing has been done about it. we have been incredibly patient regarding this issue, and understand that it can take time to fix, but at least let us know what is going to be done about it and a timeline, it's been months and there still doesn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for sharing the information. so let me have a look on my own points: no new nation is coming , no change in current infantry units or nation special units will happen , we have still a long way to war replay , no nation balance is expected
and the only positive part for me: by release of atomic age many players will upgrade to it and I can finish my GA in more peace .

Why would you have more peace? Atomic Age players will still be able to attack Global Age players, right?

Thanks for the honest news!
Now I am even more hyped for AA.
Glad to hear you are making progress with replays and network crashes. Hiring more experienced team members is crucial for the game staying strong for years to come.
WW matchmaking needs some tweaks, but for an alliance with a diverse member base which supports new players its not that bad.
Keep up the good spirit developing the game!
... and dont introduce more pay only features, that killed too many games i loved.

Yes you are right but it is something that I’ve discovered when I was in IA, there is medal range that you get less attacks from higher ages. In IA it was below 1200 for me and in GA even in 700 I got lots of attacks especially by oil raiders.

Sorry but am i reading this right. Does this mean that there isn't going to be fix for the network crashes for a couple more weeks?
Many players in my alliance are playing less and less because of these crashes. When the fix wont come soon many of them may stop playing altogether.

Many more years to come...lol.

195 and counting on the Google Play top grossing games, u guys have fallen almost 50+ spots in less than 2 weeks! Roll out Atomic Age without addressing (and finally fixing) all the bugs (or at least the main 1's) that've plagued this game (some for over a year), that seems on par with how things run at BHG/Nexon. Can't wait!

I'd address a question for @Tim Train to answer, but I'd have more of a chance partaking in a convo with Brian Reynolds himself.

tim, please make this game fun to play before any feature updates. Quite frankly some of the latest updates have resulted in game to be unplayable. when you pushed out the university concept, did you really think anyone would spend 2+ years there to update a single leader? and you have 5 there, so collectively were you expecting people to stuck there for 10+ years?

and the expedition issue, seriously, did the designer you hire spent any time to play this game? did he know that whatever the reward given after 3-5 workers away for 4-5 days can be gained within one luck raid? (2 diamonds + 3 trade goods shipment)

like many players suggested here, i hope you guys spend the time to wipe clean the current mess first before spending any more time in future mess... updates. otherwise, you will lose players fast.

Exciting news but hopefully you are investing most of your energy into fixing the issues ... crashing and war inbalance... You are losing control of how the game is meant to be played.. some alliances are sandbagging to get easier or even a match... some alliances have chosen to do their own matching (h2h's) to avoid the first group.. the third group of players who still use your matching will have less and less options and eventually will get frustrated. Keep the issues at the forefront of your development team.

Nb4powerup - any chance we will get a few days head's up on this update?

I am guessing that those who download the update will not be able to donate to those who have not downloaded it yet. This can affect wars where members only login for a short time every day.

TimTrain Thanks for the news. Its always good to know what BHG and Nexon is working on right now.

Despite all of those "great news" about AA coming, we have several Big Huge Issues that are killing your player base right now. Crashing (no1 priority), Sandbagging and Stalemating. The first one is pretty obvious. When I have build 4 fighters and looting Im scared to use them because of sudden crash, it should not be like that. As a player I wanna enjoy all the tech stuff I worked on really hard (spent hundreds of thousands oil to upgrade them) not to be scared of using them because I would lost almost 2000 oil because of Crash.

The other two features who are killing DomiNations are the second biggest issue. 95% of alliances have met a sandbagging alliance and it ruined their game experience significantly. For example... Imagine you have a smaller alliance of 30 players and you play 2 months of wars to get yourself on the Top100 leadeboard or just gain enough glory to be interesting place for new recruits. After this 2 months grind you meet a sandbagging alliance and because of messed up algorhytm that matched you with them you lose all this hard earned glory you were working on. Its a such a terrible game experience that its beyond me that only few percent of those players quit.

The last issue are draws aka Stalemates. That is experienced by roughly 5% of the best or very good alliances (players) who are your Biggest money spenders aka Whales. How would you like to play 10 straight wars and stalemate in 8 or 9 of them? Receiving laughable loot and no satisfaction or result who the better team was. And thats only because there is no other tiebraker. This is what Happens and what those players care about.
Atomic Age is secondary.

Crashes. Sandbagging. Stalemates.
3 words that are ruining your sales right now and will keep ruining them after AA release if you dont fix them by that time.

Best Regards,
Maximus

NB4, come on man, please explain why the sandbagging stacking problem isn't fixed yet. Communicate with us. Also, why is Nexon making us wait a few more weeks for the network crash problem. This problem alone is killing the game. Many are ready to quit the game over this. This game is almost unplayable. We can't wait weeks.

NB4, please explain

Great post Max and couldnt agree more! I dont care about AA. I just want my fun game back. Fix network crashes, fix sandbagging/stalemates, would be the most exciting update BHG could provide at this point for me.

Would it be acceptable if you bought a new car and almost everytime you drive it the steering wheel comes lose, and then when you complain about it the manufacturer tells you to be patient and wait for the new model to be released before they fix your car? I don´t think so Nexon.
