The problem for me is my attack log and war replay both show that I have achieved 100% destruction rate and I should have got back most of my troops, but then game crashed and the supposed "saved progress" is gone and I lost my whole army as well!! This problm has been an everyday issue now and i dont think this new update can fix my problem coz its not about connection problem!

Which doesn't answer my question.

Not wanting to be too cynical but this just seems like marketing 'puffery' - something to make us think they've come up with a fix. All this is doing is giving us a detailed message of what has already been happening since the 4.0 update.

Will it help some people? Yes - the ones who don't know what's happening behind the scenes.
Is this an actual fix to help with the server/connection issues? .........

Man, l really applaud your enthusiasm and positivity. I hope Nexon proves me wrong and you right.

However, l don't see how a notification that essentially says ''you are likely to have a partial battle recorded which will show a scoring discrepancy'' is going to alleviate the scoring discrepancy! Granted more people will now know what's going on .... but as l said, l hope I'm proven wrong.

Would still like to get ''any'' comment from Seraphine though .....

Thank you sir, trying, and believe me I'm as frustrated as anyone. I'm fully with what you and everyone else are saying, but I'm hoping the added time will help many reestablish a connection within that timeframe rather than it being a total loss (as it stands now). I'm very pleased to see an effort to help the situation while the main root of the problem is being looked into and addressed (hopefully).

With the situation that just happened, it's clear there is a long way to go. But would you rather It continue as it stands now, or hope this new work-around helps in the meantime? And after ,,6 weeks?.. of them saying it's the device or the wifi, I see this as a definite (baby) step in the right direction, however every avalanche starts as a snowball somewhere.. So let's get that rolling!

I agree, the longest journey begins with a single step - but I'm not sure how this screen can affect your or my or others individual connection slowdowns. There might be a new 2 minute window but if a connection slows down & disconnects after 30 seconds there's still nothing Nexon can do about it.....

It wouldn't, but many many times I have seen the wheel of death and then picked up connection shortly thereafter (within about 30 seconds), so this would help alleviate those as total losses.

And I sure picked a helluva time to be positive ... Smh...

I can think of one possible use.
Here's what happened to me once. I finished a war attack, and ended up with 5 stars. I saw the spinning circle during the battle. Once it showed me the battle outcome screen, along with the troops lost, the spinner continued to spin. I knew I was in trouble. I clicked on the button on the outcome screen, and returned to my base. The spinner stopped. I checked back on the world map, and found 0 stars recorded for my attack.
Maybe, just maybe, had I stayed longer on the battle outcome screen, it might have captured the battle outcome. I returned to the base assuming the game would continue to try and upload my battle result, because I was still online on the game.
This progress screen might help in avoiding such confusions, and will force me to stay on the battle outcome stage itself, waiting for it to upload the results.

Interesting idea.

ps: same thing happened to me, sort of. I'd returned to base and actually started retraining my troops before I saw the circle o' doom - then the game froze and crashed. After logging back in I had a 1star win where I previously had a 5star win.

Just launched a battle. Am on Wifi at home, ADSL T3, same connection I've had for the last 8 months. Got the circle o' doom 3 stars into the game, game closed 8-10 seconds later. Now the game won't load at all. (for the last 10 mins)
My connection is fine - 2 other nations on two other devices are working with the wifi, just fine.......

Don't know how a 2 minute window would've changed anything ....

In over a year playing CoC I never once had any reason to contact their Customer Service.

Wow, you are in a select category...or you started playing it much later. CoC used to be loaded with issues. Now it's mostly complaints about game mechanics that they have changed etc.

Why can't you allow people to continue after a crash if they reconnect within say 5 minutes, you have replay data up to the connection being lost so you could replay to that point and then continue, even if you don't want to allow people to continue after a crash it would be better to allow the attack to continue on the server so at least units placed can continue fighting although I suspect given people can cheat that the game is played on the client and only click data for placing units or rallying is logged to the server along with resources gained and units lost.

With regard to people manipulating the battle data to cheat, the server knows the state of the defenders city and attackers data so the only data needed by the defender to replay is the click data, when a defender replays using that click data if the attacker cheated on their client then the result of resources and troop losses they send to the server won't match those when the client replays so you could have the defenders client report the discrepancy and then you could have the server run a replay on those small number of reports with a discrepancy to confirm if the attacker did cheat or whether the defender is sending an invalid report

my every attack ends with a countdown. when I win the battle 4/5 countdowns restarts my game. I'm losing all units and achievements. The game behaves no difference whether I play iPhon6s or iPad Air, internet LTE or WiFi 60mb/s Do you know how to fix app while not spoiling? Do you not see that with each new update the game is becoming more and more unstable!

another mistake that occurred after the update, then disappearing text by writing in the support department.
I dont see what I send repat to support...
