NO I didn't drop medals after I was rolled, I chose to drop after reaching IA, actually I dropped from 1500 to 500 in one short evening. .. Hey I'm actually on 489 now and you wanna see how many GBA base I'm coming across when I hit the battle tab, unbelievable. Maybe they all thinking the same way...?

Awesome guys and girls, though I sort of knew that was going to be the answer its very nice hearing it from players like yourself that have been there done that. It still sucks mage chocolate salty balls but your hindsight has made things a lot clearer. Cheers!

It totally sucks. I reached EA shortly after IA was released. It wasn't a lot of fun watching zeppelins annihilate my base time and time again. But it just encouraged me to advance to that age, so I could do it too

Yep...I feel you...after I reach 60k oil...it's game over...log off for 1 min and level 170+ global age rage on my base...

i agree with u, it's not a matter of (higher ages has the right to crush lowers ones and u can do the same too)
it's the probelm with huge gap of power balance between EA and IA (and of course when u are new to IA ur still considered as EA)
Air units & tanks of IA are unstoppable by EA defenses, this isn't the same when it comes to comparing EA units aganist GA defenses which have a decent chance of stopping EA attacks
my advice is don't go so low on medals (many asians farming there) stay at 1000-1200 medals, protect one resource only and upgrade anti tank guns and caltrops as fast as u can

The power gap between gunpowder (95 troops) and EA (120 troops) is pretty big too (26% increase in army capacity). So I wouldn't say its that different from EA-IA gap. On level towers do pretty decent against zeps!

100% agree - the biggest power jump in game is from GP to EA. Not to mention standing army 4 research in EA which is huge in addition to the capacity. I think its just hard starting off in any age, EA or IA is no different than any other.

Testify. When I upgraded to Global there were no more EA bases for me to steamroll. It was a very hard few weeks.

It's OK Raven / Gail.... I'll stay back in IA as long as I can. I'll send my regards to all the EA bases for you guys. I'll tell them you said hi. Hahahaha

A consistent army composition that attacks me is a few tanks, 30+ shooters, some healers and 4-6 artillery.

You are not comparing offense to offense, you compare offense to defense, for example
Defense Cannons (anti-cavalary guns) get a 10% increase in damage in each age, while in IA it gets a 50% damage increase to cope with the huge increase of cavalry hp ( when they become tanks ) so that's like 5 ages difference
Also air units (which are extra increase over the basic +15 troop space increase per age) are devastating vs EA defenses and are much more important than the +15 troop space
Furthermore, IA is the most increase in number of defensive buildings among all ages (1 mortar 1 ballista 1 tower 2 air defense 2 bunkers 2 caltrops 2 spikes 1 ambush 2 alliance gate upgrades)
So there is no way on earth to compare it with other ages gap
