Hello everyone. Can anyone give some tips about my army composition. My current army is
4 bombards
1 supply cart
Rest yeomanry
This composition is good in world war as I use war elephants as mercenary but in multiplayer I want to get most of my troops back and I don't use mercenary there. I just want some better composition that helps me get my army back and raid again. I mostly attack gunpowder or rushed enlighenment age bases.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

rush to industrial age and start working on your factory troops. Use commando and bi(tri)planes and you are good to go. I had the same problem with my army in enlightment age and it was solved with commandos

Industrial is good but you can still enjoy good wins at Gunpowder. Strong foot troops, like Germans, are effective when attacking en masse and cheap when retraining. Get rid of the bombards and use cheap foot troops instead. (more bang for your buck). Your yeomans extra range and power should protect them nicely. :D
Also, keep an eye out for the daily specials - you can get some great advanced troops like helis or assault vehicles. I use helis to take out towers especially mortars and I use an assault vehicle with my foot troops. If you lose a heli or AV just add extra foot troops til the next daily special.

See what I used in gunpowder age was 2 bombards
2wall sappers
2 mortars
1 supply cart
And rest infantry and raged infantry
I suggest you that you should max out your base as prices are very high to upgrade in enlightment age.

After you max your base then go to enlightment age I waited a whole year to do that.As later you will have to deal with heavy attacks.

I used to use a combination of 3 heavy cavalry, 4 bombards, 2 supply carts, 20 ranged infantry and 7 heavy infantry. As well as some sabotage and protection tactics.
Use sabotage on enemy ballistas when your cavalry get close and let bombards take them down.
This troop composition does not rely on mercenarys. If you don't care so much about troop casualties, try to substitute one supply cart for heavy infantry.

Use this and stay in a low medal range (200-600). Your job is to farm and get the heck out of that age asap, not 5 star strong bases.

My set up for GPD is....

Barracks: 5-6 Bombards, 10-15 Infantry and 10-15 Archers.
and if you can, maybe train up 1 Healer. (maybe)

War Academy: 4 Sabotage or 2 Sabotage and 2 Betrayals (If in War and needs to turn Town Centre troops into your troops)

Mercenaries: Horsemen/Elephants

Alliance troops: 1 Helicopter and 2 Bazookas or vise versa

Stronghold troops: your choice

Ranged Siege Ballistas need protection (Ranged Infantry) plus grants a small bonus where these units can shoot over walls.

Healing Cart(s) might be an ideal investment as to restore Health to Generals and other units.

Only choose the Cavalry Raiders as Mercenaries or via Troop Tactic Army (Stronghold) as to save precious Army Size (unless you play as the Greeks) - if walls are not a concern then add two or four as these units capitalize on any resource buildings immediately assuming no defenses are near.

I’m a fan of utilizing the Wall Engineers either one or two for any tough bases with double-sided walls or highest tier wall levels.

Spy Troop Tactic is fun and the disabling of traps and defensive buildings can help ease the loss of troops during battle.

It’s not a bad idea to upgrade into Gunpowder Age - especially if you plan on researching both Library and University technologies. Fully upgrade almost everything before you make the jump to Global Age though!
