If the Transport plane is deployed exactly on edge of the map and not over any building, it keeps on flying over that part of the map without deploying any Paratroopers. It is stuck there and you are unable to use the Transport plane again till the end of the battle.

The Hoogster recently shared a war replay that contains this bug; the Transport flew in circles (doing nothing useful) for most of the attack:

I also reported this to support and because of this bug, I lost the battle as well as all my troops. Despite this, no compensation was offered. Didn't know what caused it but now that I know its due to deployment near the edge, I'll refrain from doing that.

It's a nasty bug that's probably been around for a long time. It's really only been seen lately because of the 2nd airstrip which allows players to add more air units. We've always known that planes are bugged which they should really have addressed a long time ago. Anything on the left edge of the map (Assuming you've cleared that forest area) can't be hit by planes on the first strafe. Same thing for transports but worse. I've also had it where the transports keeps circling but I can still use my tranports so it would appear that I'm using 3 when I'm not. They're not going to fix that anytime soon so you have to adjust unfortunately and drop a little further in.
