Update on 9.12 and Attack Helicopters

Greetings Leaders,

The DomiNations team has gone over your feedback regarding the Troop Barrack changes introduced in the past week and we wanted to provide an update on one Troop in particular - the Attack Helicopter. This unit went through a significant amount of changes in 9.12 with the goal of providing a powerful unit that could be a serious contender for your troop space population. We like that the unit feels powerful and is a viable option to existing meta options however our goal was to help encourage troop variety and there are a few factors that are making this unit perform better than intended.

We're going to introduce a few changes to elements affecting this unit's power in upcoming updates that will reduce its power slightly while keeping it as a viable option in army buildouts. We'll have more information on these upcoming changes as we get closer to release.

Also, we will be replacing the planned "Huey Armament System" artifact that was set to release next week in Marco Polo for Legendary tokens. We'll bring this back into the rotation later, but we wanted to first introduce the next set of changes before putting this up in the Marco Polo store.

How long will this take to update do we have to wait until drone age release??? Leviathan war even multiplayer is boring it takes no skill at all to play this way 1 min take down on top 100 defenders who have spent 10000$ of dollars on there defense and this just walks right over then with recon helicopter and decoy how long;!!!!

You’re full of crap! The helicopters are not that good at all. Maybe if your museum is geared for helicopters and anti air already. But you’re massively over stating their ability. Maybe because your museum is soo geared to factory troops you don’t want to lose that ability.

Boldy , not op? Lol, even without anything for helis in museum I five star 3D monster bases in at maximum 90 seconds, using crap TT or 0TT.

It doesn’t matter what we think about the announced nerf, some like it some not, that’s ok. But definitely nobody can say that helis are op atm.

The answer to delivering variety in troop deployment is simple - create specific troop space capacities for Factory and Barracks kit.

Could use a response to.my customer service ticket too I spent money on something that is being reduced the day after I asked about it by kino someone better respond to my in game custom service chat or I'll dispute all charges and that will lock me from spending on dominations I have recipes and I have the qurand the answer provided so I was intentionally mislead Leviathan TheWise

Nothing wrong with making the helicopter equivalent to a heavy tank if that was your intention. They didn’t need to be Eisenhower but nothing wrong with making barracks troops a viable option just because people have bought their way into certain styles of gameplay. What if drone age introduced a Reaper Drone that had the same effect as the helo buff? The people upset right now would just have to eat the change.

If you want to nerf Helis, maybe a 1/10 the damage to resource buildings. That would slow them way down but not weaken them. Then people would have to take either RPGs or Raiders in with them to clear bases, reducing the number of Helicopters

That's a great idea. Or like bombers, have them struggle with anti-air and/or Town Centers. But they need to have some sort of weakness that requires a more diverse troop composition.

I've tried the new helis and while I've always liked using them, this new incarnation is just too easy to use. ie: boring. They can even take care of themselves against tanks.
I'd happy if they nerfed them a little (especially their hp) and went back to their old criteria of targeting defensive towers - this would leave them vulnerable to defending troops so you'd need to use ground troops or planes for protection. This is what diversity is about - the need to compliment your troops.
Who knows - maybe Drone Age will introduce radar jamming towers which will disrupt their missiles but helis will still need a nerf.

Boldy it's very true that helicopters are very strong. I have no museum lines for AH and I've gotten 100% on every war attack I've used them.
