Use of Storehouses?

I'm still at a loss of the benefit of using a Storehouse. The 3 resources you gain through it are random, so there's definitive luck skill involved there and that's a negative to me. However, what really turns me off using it is that in order to gain these resources you have to offer up 10 Crowns in its place. I would much rather use the Crowns to rush production, especially upgrades to buildings first and units (i.e. Caravans) second.

I only use storehouses to increase my resource storage capacity, and not to acquire resources randomly. I agree with you that using storehouses to acquire resource is a waste of crowns. Upgrading storehouses do help in making sure that I have enough space for my resources though.

Ah yes re: resource capacity. In my current game I'm not yet up to the point where that has been necessary and as such hadn't entered my thought process yet. Appreciate the reminder!

I agree that the warehouse is not useful in this game except for the capacity of storage , I will not spend 10 crowns for a chance at something that I might already have , there is a better chance to wait for the boat at the docks if your looking for a chance at something , I would rather spend my crowns to recruit mercenaries .

Agreed, the storage is simply to stock resources to pay for Mercenaries. I'd never pay for a chance to get what I want. Looting other players you're just as likely to get it if you destroy their storehouse anyhow, so better do that as part of regular raiding.

Yeah, all it is is storage. Use them for blessings and mercs.
