Don't see anything about this in any release notes. But the video ads now are providing 2,3 or 5 crowns at random instead of 5 base with a chance of 10/25/50/75/100. That is a big drop, and not really worth messing with when I do get on. And since we have no way of knowing what the change is short of watching them, and I didn't see an announcement, I would say this mornings ads were a bait and switch act.

It seems like whoever is in charge of nexon is demanding an increase in revenue, and the people running the game are grasping at straws to figure out where to get the money from.
I was waiting tables awhile back at a restaurant that was failing so the owner decided to raise his prices and reduce plate sizes. On paper it looks like a good idea, more profits for doing nothing, but people arent idiots they know that they are now paying more for less. If the game is worse to play, people arent going to buy crowns because they now have to, they are just going to quit altogether.
This isnt even a hypothetical scenario because people are leaving the game. I've been sitting on nearly 200k oil for a couple of days and my only inbound was a medal dropper. I'm in global and a lot of my defenses are still enlightenment age so I should be an easy target.

The video rewards had been inflated during the Summer for the Ages, and then extended through the rebalance effort. They were adjusted today back to previous values. It's likely they will be adjusted again in the future.
Is there a certain reward type the team should consider adding? Let us know!

Maybe if you allow us to watch videos more frequently per day it will be better with those 3s? Or give us a chance for random items, like troop tactics, supplies, blueprints

We did recently increase the video cap for some regions. Overall, inventory will be based on availability and location.
There was no indication that it would be temporary, or what the reason was. Just as with this time, no announcement was made. So we are in the dark.
Whatever you do, don't include anything in there except crowns and troop tactics. All the junk that was included during one of these changes was driving me crazy - especially the recruits and blessings that we could simply get ourselves with standard in game resources.

you never mentioned the increased rewards will be a temporary thing even though there were a few threads mentioning the increase back in july.
more crowns, speedups except the 5 min ones, troop tactics except pirates or cavalry.

Or just poorly-coded algorithms trying to maximize profits at the cost of player retention and satisfaction? This seems like something mandated by the mothership in Korea, so not much difference I suppose.
Will agree with the other posters about wanting to see a return of decent troop cards, like guard chevaliers, to the ad rewards if you're winding back crown rewards.

I dunno, the cavalry made fine silo bait before I switched to all heavy tanks. 98,000 hp for the atomic variant. Granted, their utility is probably limited for my cwa account now.

First, go back to the crown rewards of the last few weeks/months.
Second, add a multiplier for anyone logging in and watching for 5 days in a row.
You know, an incentive!
