Video ads: Keep getting for weeks now "Unable to retrieve a video at this time"

what the title says guys....Anyone else has this?

In the past, I could always watch videos with no problem. After a week from the moment they released the "Instant retrain" feature, I can't watch videos anymore.
Every 2-3 days, the video icon becomes active, I tap on it. I watch 1 video only just fine and then again no video for another 2-4 days. Then again the same happens. 1 video and then again nothing.

I contacted support 3 days and their only suggestion is to wait!!! Unacceptable

Any suggestions? Any help? NxM_daVinci NxM_Saladin NxM_Suleiman PlayerID is Not Anyone Else's Concern

I'm facing this issue too, for the past few days (slightly shy of a week, I suppose).
I've tried nearly every troubleshooting step short of factory resetting the phone (which I don't intend to do), but, this issue isn't getting resolved.

Thanks for responding. I have reached the CS TWICE and got no resolution to my problem.
Let me explain the issue again:I don't retrain my army at all. I only watch a video maybe 1-2 times every 2-3 days. It is random maybe? I login many times per day and I only have this app running. My cell phone is One Plus X and it handles the game perfectly. Other alliance members can watch 5 videos DAILY with no problem. How is that possible? Please find a resolution to my problem. Or tell us at least WHY this is happening. With all the age advancing, I really need the crowns now...

I have also reached out to CS twice and still hopeful that they will resolve my complaint. I’m always logged in for hours at a time multiple times a day and cannot honestly remember the last time I either watched a video for free crowns or used the retrain option for my account on either my android phone (Samsung Note 8) or on my laptop via blustacks but never have this issue when playing with my other account on my iPad Pro. I have all but reset my phone to factory default, to no avail. Is it safe to say this problem is Android related?? And when can we realistically expect it to be fixed??

It has been 3 months since I properly watched 5 consecutive videos or retrained my army and this was pissing me off.

So, it seems, I found a work around or permanent solution. I don't know yet...

I took my wife's phone and installed dominations. Loaded my gmail account and run the game. My city loaded fine and immediately the video icon appeared!! I watched 2 videos at once with no problem. So I thought that the problem is with my old phone or the game there. No....

I run the game from my old phone and VOILA!! It worked perfectly fine from there too! 4 days have passed and the videos work like a charm from both devices.

So, this proves, that the new installation triggered/changed a parameter that was broken at Nexon's end and that it was fixed for both phones!!
TinSoldier can you forward this to the devs and have a look? If you want my ID for further searching and troubleshooting is XXXX. Just tell them not to break something now that it is working hehehe!

Hey wrathchild_78 - sorry to hear you're not seeing the videos arrive. From looking at your account, It seems like the Crowns are being deposited, but there may be a long delay between when the video completes and when the rewards are received. It's okay to close the popup that appears when your waiting for your rewards to be received. You may not see the global message telling you how many crowns you have received because you may have moved to a different screen.

We work with a third party to provide video offers, and their availability may depend on the inventory for your region.

Being unable to retrain your troops is a big concern, and CS should be able to help look into that issue. Video retrain is currently available only about once every 24 hours.

TinSoldier yes the crowns are deposited just fine the last several days. I have no problem with the videos anymore (after months of not watching). It was fixed by its own, for my account, when I did a clean install on another device and this fixed it for both cell phones!! I can retrain my troops perfectly fine too every 16 hours or so.

My main point is that there was a wrong parameter somewhere that was blocking my main account to watch videos. The new installation on another device corrected that and thus both phones are working correctly now. This means that the cause for this was the third party video provider and if someone else encounters this issue, it is there that you should look for answers.

Banned for no reason
Yesterday
For 3 weeks now I got banned for watching videos. I have 2 accounts on the same apple device and I use to watch videos on both of them. For some reason in Nexon server appeared that I was “exploiting the crowns” as per Tin Soldier and since they don’t have a tool to identify exactly how many crowns each account got (also as per Tin Soldier)I was presumed guilty and banned. I’m playing this game for 3 years now and in the last 3 weeks I wrote to GM and Tin Soldier daily but I only got 3 vague responses and absolutely no prouf of me cheating. Until the bann poped in on my screen I was not aware that “exploiting the crowns” exist. It’s sad that to see how Nexon answers this situation. Shame on you Nexon. Shame on you Tin Soldier.
