Let’s add War Monuments to the game.

Here’s how they would work:
  • Each war category (10v10, 15v15, 20v20, etc) would each get a limited number of War Monuments.
  • They can’t be purchased. They can only be captured from other alliances during war.
  • They can’t be carried to a higher or lower war category. If you get one in 10v10 you can’t search for a 50v50 on your next war and hoard the monuments keeping them away from lower ranking alliances.
  • You can’t stall war searches if you capture a monument. You won’t be able to capture one and use it’s buffs indefinitely. If you don’t run a war search within a day after the war ends you lose the monument and DN will reallocate it to a random alliance.
  • At the beginning, DN will give the War Monuments out to 1/4 of the alliances in each war category and send them a message in their inbox so they know they have one and have a day to start a war search.
  • After that it’s just a matter of going out and capturing one. Not every war match will find one. If you get matched with an alliance that has one and you also have one, the buffs will not stack. The war winner will keep theirs, and the losing alliance will lose theirs which will get reallocated into that war category by DN.
  • Now, on to the buffs:
  • War Monument Offensive, +50% offensive buff
  • War Monument Defensive, +50% defensive buff
  • War Monument Resource, +50% resource collection buff
The War Monuments are active buffs during war and also during multiplayer battles and they remain active until you lose a war or neglect doing a war search within a day.

I’m sure the coding would be a challenge, but it sounds fun to me having some kind of incentive other than rubies.

Additional items:
  • The War Monument will be a glorious looking 2x2 building and will be displayed on the Alliance Leader’s base, unless the leader is not in the war lineup, then it would be displayed on the #1 ranked player’s base in the current lineup.
  • The War Monument will not add any defensive hit points to the base (unless it’s the defensive Monument). It’s just a shiny statue that sits on top of the Leader or #1 ranked player’s TC.

Good idea. But in every war this would be a problem. If dominations implements the war league thing. Which is already in coc. Then this thing should definitely implemented

As I said up above, only 1/4 of alliances from each war category would have the monuments. So not every war would be a battle for a monument. Also, in the rare instances when both sides hold a monument I think it would be an interesting battle. One side might have offense while the other has defense, and both might have offense or both might have defense. It’s just adding a little variety to the matchups. Matchups would still be calculated independently of the War Monument buffs.

Another additional item:
  • Regarding the War Monuments that are initially allocated and the ones that eventually get reallocated. You’ll get an inbox notification that your alliance has received a War Monument. However, in order to start receiving it’s buffs you will need to defend it for at least one war. No one should just randomly start receiving buffs. It’ll be similar to actually capturing one. The buffs become active right after the war ends and last until you lose the monument. Those who capture a monument instead of randomly receiving one will receive the buffs as soon as the war ends. If an alliance receives a War Monument, gets their notification, and fails to initiate a war search within the allotted time, it’ll simply be reallocated to another alliance.

Ok so instead of offensive and defensive buffs, maybe the monuments just add the +50% resource collection buff? Sounds like something worth fighting for. Maybe another buff that reduces building and research times by 50% while your alliance holds the monument. So two different monuments instead of 3.

Grits, very nice idea. Hopefully BHG will implement this soon.

Uhuru, real war exists because of imbalance. Its always interesting to go against strong opposition rather than of same power level or weeker.

My 2cents, instead of new system of monuments, BHG can use war glory to provide buffs same as medals work in MP battles. This way coding should be easier.
