What are the 1hour bans for?

Hi TinSoldier

I know a couple of people who have just received 1 hour bans for "suspicious activity", but they have no idea what they have done wrong.

It seems to be related to the event as they worked tirelessly to get really high event xp and have been removed from their group leaderboards.

Is the ban related in this way and can you confirm what these select people did wrong? They have no idea so don't know what not to so in future....

Thanks.

Ok BHG_Muet this is ridiculous this is a circus , call off the event put it back on the shelf . So if someone has alot of fragments and is crafting to make blue prints they are getting bans I don't care if it's 1 min or 1hr your game is broken your policing the event but ignoring the cheats on game for years?? And crafting wasn't cheating last time I checked.

So the event rewards players for donating and crafting... And nexon bans players from the event for donating and crafting "too much." Classic nexon justice! This is becoming a joke and really starting to turn away some longtime loyal (and legit) players.

Fwiw at least one of the players concerned "only" donated, no crafting. It was a LOT of donating.

They did remove people from the boards. The top player had about 500k this morning, now it’s 394,995 at #1. Interesting. So, let’s keep a running tally of what Nexon has screwed up already, starting with this latest update:

* Released update where the leaderboards frequently saw people lose the points they had accrued
* Banned people for gaining XP too quickly in different ways (not just one method) and removed them from the leaderboards entirely <— We are here

TinSoldier it would be great to get a response for this.

We have some very honest and decent players who have invested a lot in this game saying they are quitting because of this. This would be such a great shame for an otherwise exciting event.

People might be pushing it in ways you have not anticipated, but its been really fun.

I mentioned in a previous post that we would be reviewing players on the Leaderboards and taking action against cheating. Today was the first wave of those sanctions and we'll continue auditing throughout the Event.

-----

Our new Event system incorporates highly competitive Leaderboards with strong prizing for those that manage to get to the top. As as result, it is important that we maintain competitive integrity for our Leaderboards. If anyone believes they were wrongfully banned, there is a process to appeal with our Customer Support team. That said, this first wave of banning was done with high confidence and I reviewed many of the cases myself (just to give an example, it's literally impossible to donate over 8,000 troops to war bases in a single World War).

Couldnt the receiver delete donated troops and the donor re-donate? I know its against the spirit of the event but not impossible.

It seems you don't know how your own game works. War base recipients can delete donations and the donor can add them again. Do this over and over, you could reach 8000 (or more) easily. I suppose you could argue this is "gaming the system" and not in the spirit of fair play, but it is most certainly not "cheating." I would suggest that for future events, make it based on in-game accomplishments, not something that can be so easily manipulated like donations.

And your theory on 8000 troops is wrong too BHG_Muet all you got to do is fill q base the player unloads the troops and refill you can do this the entire 24 hr planning day ......

Does anyone at BHG know how to play this game.
So everyone knows there was no cheating going on at all just players using all the tools and resources they have acquired over time.

BHG muet
It’s not a good position on simply labeling decent players cheats while you do little or zero about the real problem in the game.

*takes deep breaths to refrain from swearing*

please go now and tell the customer support to unban a whole lot of people and to hurry because some people got 7 day bans for this world war donations thing not just 1 hour.

The troops from war bases are possible to take out. There s nothing common with cheating. You re punishing people for your own fold. Unreal

Hey BHG_Muet,

Thank you very much for the response.

(just to give an example, it's literally impossible to donate over 8,000 troops to war bases in a single World War).

It is actually quite possible, as some of the other replies here are suggesting. This is not new, people have been doing this on previous donate events for a while now. You simply need to 'dump' the troops on war planning day from your base to be able to refill them.

To reach 8,000 sounds far fetched but it's not hard if you are dedicated.

We had between 3 and 6 players dumping troops from their war bases constantly at one time during the day. With the refresh delays end to end this could be every 30 seconds to be able to refill. You see the plus sign appear above a base and you fight to be the first to donate!

We have some french nation players with training blessings capable of crafting battle tanks every 13 seconds (so effectively infinite supply of troops, only limited by resources which lasted several hours after a quick farm). Players who were not French could not donate quite so quickly but still fast enough using MBTs and Machine Gunners.

So to get 8,000 for an average base size of 50 troop spaces that's 160 fills. In 3 hours of 1 fill per minute you've got more than 8,000.

The only reason I didn't get banned is because I had work and kids to eat up my day, otherwise I could quite easily have hit those numbers!

You have introduced an exciting new mechanism with great rewards and players are keen to do anything they (legitimately) can to win. I'm sure it's surprising the lengths players will go to, and I know that some of my friends feel that they went overboard yesterday dumping and refilling, but that's what competitive and ever so slightly addicted players do :)

My suggestion would be to make war base donations not count towards these goals in future, I don't think anyone really _wants_ to be doing it - it's just to compete and keep up.

Also we're all really appreciative of efforts to clamp down on cheating - we hate it and like affirmative action. But I think in this case you underestimated the community and got it wrong.

Alright, hang with me everyone. I'll request a re-audit just to be safe that the bans were legitimate. If any were found to be in error, we'll revert those bans. If any do get reverted, the system has been tracking their XP since the ban and those players will come back with the extra XP they've earned while being off the Leaderboards.

As always, thank you for jumping on here when something doesn't seem right. I'll keep you all updated.

BHG_Muet and how do we report suspected cheaters on leaderboard? I've witnessed one player in my group jumped over 60k xp in a matter of minutes,
I'm with others on war base donations, 8000 is doable, rather easily, I've probably donated few thousand today.

why dont you unban everyone and then re-audit to re-ban?
im sure you banned more non-cheaters than cheaters, and you have no idea how much a person could lose in a few hours of ban and i dont mean event xp. i dont care about the stupid event xp anymore
