Why are Cold War Age players allowed to attack Global Age bases?

I've just upgraded from the Industrial Age to the Global Age and I'm already being attacked by vastly superior Cold War Age opponents who 5-star my base with ease.

Why is this? I was under the impression that players can only attack opponents up to 1 age above/below them, but NOT 2 ages!

in all the ages in multiplayer battle it will give + -2 ages down / up, on the other hand this benefits to hurried players of the cold war, since it will be enough just to lower medals to find easy industrialists to collect resources

When I was in the Industrial Age I would only be matched with bases 1 Age up or down, not 2. So I would very rarely be matched with a -1 base in the Enlightment Age, and not that rarely with a +1 Global Age.

So it seems to me that only Cold War Age bases have this ability to raid bases 2 ages below them...

This is quite literally one of the worst ages to be allowed to attack 2 below.

The limit for being Global is 130, for CWA it's 220. This means that CWA players almost definitely have maxed offence and imposing bases; they're the endgame players. Global consists of more than a few rushed bases, and more than a few bases that aren't rushed but are still extremely easy to beat with a maxed AA offence, let alone CWA. This is a 90-age disparity, let alone the 250+ players who can attack nearly 100 levels below - and do so consistently, when levels between 150-250 take a lot of XP already..

This was only up until Gunpowder. Once a player hit gunpowder they could only be matched with +1/-1 ages. It stayed like this up to AA.
Then along came CW age. :)

Completely agree, even as a CW player. People were crying out for Dominations to be more offensive based and Nexon makes attacking easier for the one group of people who don't need it.
Now that's what I call offensive! :D

This excellent change, I wanted to be this game if it is not about making attacks, it would be boring 😁

JoseLanderos - What fun is there in stomping rushed and very easy bases into the ground over and over again? I did it when I still could when trying to loot for walls. Not the most exciting thing since you know you are going to win 5* every time.

JoseLanderos , I suspect you're being just a little bit sarcastic. :D
Yes, it's nice to have good offensive units and be able to enjoy attacking like we used to when tanks could flatten an entire base. But high AA and CW players don't need a boost.
IA and GA are the ones that could use a buff. Not a big one, but enough to make the game fun again.

The fun can be a lot depends on the objective, maybe I am in the cases of hurried villages and the resources must come from somewhere 😁 just the act of attacking amuses me, I do not want to get to the point where my warehouses are full and I do not have to spend, I like the game so much that just farmer, and let the wars perhaps for me another life 😂

Well the alternative is only matching with extremely difficult bases in PvP with silos etc which would effectively halt many people's advance. As the globals can get the silo that at least it's some protection and likely to make someone skip it. Some sort of PvP nerf for the silo would help justify separating the ages again

With 6 HTs Mk.5 I feer no global age silo :D

But I guess this topic's timing is just perfect as many AA's used the insta upgrade to CWA to advance. For the time being they should be still using AA army though.

I've just been attacked and for the 4th time IN A ROW it has been by a Cold War Age opponent. :(

This is getting ridiculous as the most powerful age is the only one allowed to attack 2 ages down. So basically CWA players can steer clear of other CWA bases - on top of that they can omit Atomic Age players and just cherry-pick Global Age bases for easy 5-star wins with minimal losses (and minor or zero need to rebuild units before attacking again).

Surely there are enough CWA and AA players out there in total to make the 1-age limit apply to CWA as well?

It’s Atomics for me (still over 200 XP against an enlightenment defence), but the silo is finished soon. I think their idea is that the OP silo will dissuade these players - CWAers will still not have a hard time beating my base...

The current event is encouraging cold war players to hit global bases. When it's done, they will lose interest. The loot from a global base is cut in half for a cold war attacker, really makes them unattractive targets.

Nope. They'll still be hitting Global bases after this event. They need to be able to raid back to back, and it's hard to do that if the only targets available are AA or other CW bases.

I'm AA and will be going CW towards the end of this event. I am ONLY going to do it because Globals are available targets. THAT is why they've set it up that way.

There's still a TON of resources to be gained by racking up 15 stars once a day, and what quicker way to do it than 3 easy, back-to-back (little or no rebuild necessary) wins against bases two ages below?

I just don't get the point because when I was in the Industrial Age I would get attacked by GA bases but not AA. And now that I've moved to GA I not only get whacked by AA but on top of that also by CWA, the most powerful age out there?

The answer is: there is not enough AA+CW players for cold war age in rotation without peace treaty to loot, so they include GA players as well.
