But don't most alliances take screenshots and post them if they know they aren't going to get 5 stars? Same result as replays.

Rofl. People are whinning about their traps location being revealed. Get a clue guys. People are going to know it irrespective of replays if you are facing a self respecting semi decent alliance.
If you rely on 'traps' to prevent your base getting 5*, you need to think your base over and come up with something more rounded. lol

I have mixed feelings about the replays in general. I have heard people say they don't want replays because their strategies will be exposed. Others feel that many alliances record already anyway, so it just evens the playing field. I think I am leaning towards the first side; maybe alliances that are more disciplined about sharing intel should be rewarded for their efforts.

And I just read @Durgesh's post saying replays should be saved until end of war. I see his point too. But on the other hand many alliances, including mine, run wars back to back, which would make it difficult to take advantage of the replays without really delaying the war schedule. With the alliance perks coming along, many may not want that kind of delay. A way to perhaps relieve some of Durgesh' and my concerns might be to make the replays available through the Alliance World War History screen. Any war that was still displayed in the window would have its replays accessible. However, I know this would be a huge change in function, and I am not sure of how easy it would be to implement - certainly not in a 'very soon' timeframe. Perhaps others will have better ideas. :)

My alliance starts the next war within 1 hr of prev war end to keep the war time same. If we enable replays only after war end, people in different timezones won't be able to view the replays or alliances like us need to take a 1 day break between wars. How about enabling war results & replay from the alliance war history tab? If this is done, we could enable the war replay after war end.

I agree with Durgesh. War replays are great but should only be available after war ends. Having war replays available during a war makes no sense as it will create a situation where your traps are only good for one battle. After that first war attack your traps would become almost useless which would take a huge part of the strategy out of wars.

i Hope Nexon understands this and sets up a system where war replays can only be viewed after a war is over. I also feel those replays should expire after a couple of days. This is a war strategy game. Let's not expose major strategy components of this game.

Replays are amazing, but seem to work only when attacker and replay viewer were on the same platform meaning iOS to iOS. If attack is made by iOS player then replay for Android users is not correct. Same the other way around. Still amazing to see how accurate it is if both players use iOS for example.

I'm still loving the replays. A Quick Victory countdown timer (like in MP) would be fantastic

Or just change the time remaining countdown, to time elapsed. Makes more sense for replays as it's battle duration which is displayed in the war reports. As the quick victory has to be obtained within 1m 15s (with banners), they won't need the quick victory timer.

What's the difference between an alliance seeing your traps via a replay, or someone taking a screenshot of your base 95% of the way through? The people are going to see your traps either way!
Banging your head against this proverbial wall only gets you a very real headache! :D

it would be a masterstroke if the replays are produced after the war is over.
I'm fine with the replays as they are, but why wait until the war is over? You could easily have it so players can only see replays once they've used both their attacks. Maybe it might even encourage players to do their war attacks earlier...

It's good at it is. When you hit a base once, it is normal that players get intelligence about it (trap locations, how hard mortars hitting, hidden broken walls etc)
Any user wanting something else, is just delusional seriously.
Deal with progress and adapt.

it's great! I love watching the replays as I gives me a chance to improve my base for the next war. Plus, all our Alliance teammates get a real chance to learn and be more productive in the World Wars.
I respect other people's opinions so I am not going to rebut to anything, good or bad, said previously. Loads of good opinions, though.

Please extend the beta. Many of us have not had a chance to test it because we haven't been able to get a WW match since release.

Forget extending it - please keep it, and make it better, and never even consider taking this awesome improvement away from us. It isn't perfect, but so much better than nothing.

ww replay inconsistencies

batte log says 37% zero * ..... replay is 58% two *.....

as they said they would, i'm sure they have this logged and are figuring it out ... but i have to wonder what is reality?

it's like schrodinger's battle: if in one reality you have a black eye and the other you pee on your opponent. should you feel pride, relieved, or both? and for what?

I love the WW replays, same is true for my guild mates.
We already use screenshots and scouting attacks and record some of our attacks to get the best intel and learning curve possible for our wars. So no need to scream about gjving away free intel with this new feature!
It is great that we have this tool now without all this hassle of changing the medium to share our information.
We discovered some bugs though. If you start the replay several times, it may happen that you see a wrong outcome for the same person watching the replay. If you get the same stars as the attack, it is mostly the right replay.

There are definite discrepancies in the replays. Within our alliance a few players will see the replay accurately. Others see a few different versions. This includes not seeing troop spawning and air troop movement differs a fair amount.
Not 100% perfect.

After almost 2 weeks of waiting, I finally got a chance to experience my first World War replays. As mentioned by previous posts, they occasionally are not accurate representations of the attacks, especially attacks requiring multiple drop points. Right now I think they are in line with Multiplayer replays.
