Land and air have been covered but what about the sea? Half way into your battle, you’re starting to loose troops, that’s when you call for it. The War Ship would pull into port and help take out defenses. You would be able to target an area every 30 seconds. The war ship could be damaged from ground defenses or the opposing team’s war ship. It would act like the generals do, you could take them to battle or set them on defense (it would only deploy if the opposing team deploys their ship). If two ships are in battle they would only concentrate on each other until one of them sink. The ships would take a while to repair so it would best to save for a special occasion like alliance wars.

Also wouldn't it be cool if pirates unloaded off the ship!?

Might seem like overkill, but what if they they got really into detail with the naval aspect? Like adding different kinds of boats like battleships, destroyers, amphibious assault craft, and aircraft carriers?!

Great idea. The Sea would also require making a larger map as well. This would be great new content to keep things fresh and interesting. Also in later gea you could also have submarines to defend your other ships. There could also be offensive submarines. Oh...and placing mines. Lots of new content and research for players to do here. This update could all go along with supplying the fishing as a gathering resource.

Yeah. You could have 3 or 4 or whatever # of hot spots on a ship to rig a weapon from a selection based on your research. You can design a ship for short range or long range, etc. This allows a lot more for players to have fun with. Keep the great ideas coming guys. I been reading thru all kinds of posts here and just about everyone has practical ideas that the developers could implement without it being way off the wall for them. One of my ideas I added was to improve the graphics through major updates. High, medium, low texture settings. Allowing dynamic wind on the trees (important or else the trees always moving the se way will become mundane), dynamic lighting, and dynamic waves/currents in the ocean. Explosion effects/amount of particals. All these options would have to be enabled/disabled in settings graphic options so that the game will still support old devices as well as take advantage of newer devices. This will keep the game alive. I hate to see developers who create a wonderful game like this and basicly replace it with a new game to keep up with the graphics. I don't know if they built this game with expandibility like this in mind otherwise it would nearly have to be redesigned.

This idea seems really cool. But there are some things I would like to add:

Alright, lets say starting from the classical age, players have the ability to upgrade their dock into a naval port. By doing this players are given access to 3 different types of ships (Names aren't final as I don't know all the types of ships). These ships can be deployed in offense or defense.

- Offense Ship: Like stated int the initial post, this ship will target a location and barrage it every 30 sec, kinda like the barrage tactic. It does a good chunk of damage to buildings/defenses and moderate damage against ships. When placed in defense, if the ship successfully destroys the other ship in offense, it will periodically barrage the attackers troops every minute or so

- Defense Ship: This type of ship specializes in taking out other ships. Thus its most likely to be placed in defense(Similarly to how generals are deployed in offense/defense). In offense this ship will prioritize ships before eventually attacking defense buildings, whereas in defense it attack other ships before barraging the attacking troops. The main weakness of this ship is that it does almost insignificant damage to defense buildings/attacking troops.

- Transport Ship: This ship periodically transport troops to the battle. No matter whether its placed on offense or defense it will deployed a small squadron of troops that increase is number and tech level as you level up the ships. However, it does no damage to other troops and thus is a sitting duck to other ships. So its best to use this ship in conjunction with other ships.

As you upgrade your naval port the number of ships that can be deployed increases (ie. classical age is 1, medieval is 2, gunpowder is 3 etc.). In order to upgrade your ships you use the blacksmith. What do you guys think of this. None of this is final but its an idea I want to throw out

Those are some great suggestions, thank you for the input. I would like to see the war ships come to pass and those are awesome ideas.
