Hotkeys or Macros that would allow instant deployment of troops would kill the game for mobile players. Unless you envision the majority of your customer base using PC’s this as good a way to kill the game as any I have heard.
I’d like to second Tedi’s suggestion here. Make “Rush” and actual “Rush” by “rushing” the time needed for upgrades. Diminished resource cost really is meaningless beyond about Gunpowder age.
